KAMIK’S LIGHTWEIGHT RUBBERHe FROM NATURAL RUBBER TO OUR PROPRIETARY RUBBERHe In 1982, we moved away from the natural rubber that we had been using since we were founded in 1898. On a mission to find an eco-friendlier option, we turned to TPR, a type of rubber manufactured by injection moulding. However, because this rubber’s physical properties are altered when broken down, the material wasn’t totally green or sustainable. After years of research and development, we launched our proprietary RubberHe, enabling us to make black boots from 100% recycled materials.
