MATTEO ONORI & BROOKE JOINER Co-Founders, Catholic Owned with fraternal affection,
Catholic Owned exists to propagate Knowledge of, Devotion to, and Love & Admiration for the Immaculate Heart of Mary, in reparation for the many sins & blasphemies against her.
In practical terms, we are Building the New Catholic Economy.
Over time, our community members can make fewer compromises and be more free to pursue ever greater devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Immaculate Heart of Marywhat is known to be the sweetest path to sainthood.
Dear brothers and sisters of Catholic Owned, In 1944 Pope Pius XII placed the feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary on August 22, the octave of the Solemnity of the Assumption. During the month of August we have been reminded of the words of Our Lady of Fatima to Lucia: "I come to ask the consecration of the world to my Immaculate Heart, when my Immaculate Heart triumphs, the world will have peace." The saints have embraced this devotion and worked tirelessly for peace. Mother Teresa is one of those saints of our present age who worked and promoted peace in the world. Interiorly moved by divine inspiration and deep charity she founded the first house for abandoned and destitute children in Calcutta on September 23, 1955 "Shishu Bhavan" Other houses eventually opened also. Small children had been found literally in dumpsters, train stations and in the streets. Most were undernourished, had TB and pneumonia. Sometimes they were brought to the Sister's house by their own parents unable to feed and care for them.
Mother Teresa's love for the children was so great that she never refused anyone. Her love for the children was her love and trust in God. She knew perfectly that God loved them more than her.
One morning the Sisters came to Mother with a great concern: Mother, they said, there is only food for today. We have nothing for tomorrow. Mother Teresa looked at the sisters and told them, Today we will pray with greater confidence in God. Let us trust in Him wholeheartedly, we are in his hands. He loves the children more than we do.” Evening and night came and there was no food. Early in the morning the next day someone knocked at the door and announced that all public schools had been closed that day and that a truck full with food was waiting outside of the house to be unloaded as a donation to the children. The Sisters and the children rejoiced and gave thanks for God's infinite love.
I pray that we may follow the example of Saint Mother Teresa's deep love for Jesus and complete trust in Him. Her feast is September 5th.
Immaculate Heart of Mary, cause of our Joy, ora pro nobis.

Christine Haapala’s 13th Scriptural Prayer book views the mysteries through the lives of some of the men who were part of salvation history and Jesus’ world.
Does a scriptural rosary about men for men necessarily mean that a Marian prayer will become less Marian? On the contrary, Mary always points to Jesus. Mary, infused with
extraordinary humility, will be guiding us to the foot of the Cross and through the gates of Heaven
Illustrations for each rosary mystery feature Servants of God, Venerables, Beati, and Saints These men answered the call to holiness and lived in imitation of Christ
“A prayer so easy and yet so rich deserves to be rediscovered Rediscover the Rosary in the light of Scripture, in harmony with the Liturgy, and in the context of your daily lives ” Rosarium Virginis Mariae, 43, St Pope John Paul II, Oct 16, 2002

Will you “choose life?” was the angelic question to Mary. Her “yes” became the Incarnate Word. The call to “choose life” in the 20th century seemed to be ignored, but not by Father Groeschel who was at the heart of the Pro-Life movement. He was a fixture at the annual March for Life, constantly prayed the Rosary, and co-founded the Good Counsel Homes for homeless pregnant women and children. Throughout his life and career as Franciscan friar, retreat master, author, psychologist, and television host, he was an advocate for life and preacher of the truth.

As a licensed marriage and family therapist, I offer therapy sessions for individuals, couples, and families. While I can provide in-person sessions in Indianapolis, IN, I continue to add to the list of states where I’m licensed to provide virtual sessions (so please reach out to see if your state is on my list)! I also provide coaching based on my book Single Truth For couples, I am trained in PREPARE/ENRICH, FOCUS/REFOCUS, SYMBIS (Save Your Marriage Before It Starts), and the Gottman Relationship Checkup. I’m expanding my speaking opportunities and would be honored to share my message with your church, business, organization or event
Through You Are More, LLC I bring faith to life and life to faith as I help individuals, couples, and families discover that they are not defined by their relationship status, job title, season in life, diagnosis, or any other box they feel stuck in. I do this through counseling, speaking, and writing. Ever since writing my book Single Truth: You are more than your relationship status, I wrote “You are more!” before every signature When I received a nudge to leave group practice after 10 years, I felt inspired to expand this signature phrase into a full-time endeavor Even if people do not work with me, I can encourage
them through the business name alone Not only are we more than our labels that get us stuck, God is more than anything that we face I never imagined I would be single in my mid30’s, but because of that I have developed a passion to bring hope to those whose hearts ache in their single season. Though I thoroughly enjoy working with couples and enriching relationship satisfaction, I find great purpose in connecting with the hearts of single people In both types of sessions, I validate feelings and experiences while helping clients to discover the meaning in their story.
In addition to my MA in marriage and family therapy, I also hold an MA in Theology from Notre Dame via the Echo Program. My experience of working in ministry informs the encounter I have with clients in the therapy room Our hearts are restless until we rest in God and there’s a more qualified counselor than me in the room --- the Holy Spirit. The first words of my first counseling class were, “Be still and know that I am God.” I don’t have all the answers, but I can connect clients with the One who does. Rarely do couples pray together so it’s been impactful for me to facilitate prayer in sessions to help them connect with God and one another more deeply
St Francis is my confirmation Saint and Assisi is one of my favorite places in the world. I get to take my fiancé there for our honeymoon later this year!
I’ve become more devoted to St. Joseph over the years and the 30 Day Prayer to St. Joseph never fails to astonish me!

The Church has had a special devotion to Our Lady as Mother of the Church and Mother of All since Our Lord told St. John to “Behold your Mother,” It is clear that the disciples loved Our Lady dearly, and St. John was with her until her Assumption. Asking for the intercession of the Mother of God has long been practiced by Catholics, and the prayers of the Rosary are one beautiful way to ask for her prayers. During each decade, we meditate on one mystery from the life of Our Lord and we seek to draw near to Our Lady as the Mediatrix of All Graces in our needs and desires She shared some of the graces that one can obtain through a devotion to her Holy Rosary, and we will reflect on three of them today
11. By the recitation of the Rosary you shall obtain all that you ask of me.
12. Those who propagate the holy Rosary shall be aided by me in their necessities.
13. I have obtained from my Divine Son that all the advocates of the Rosary shall have for intercessors the entire celestial court during their life and at the hour of their death.
Promise number 11 is special, and becomes even more beautiful when the desires of one’s heart are aligned to the perfect Will of the Father Seeing as all things are subject to His Will, this alignment can lead to miraculous spiritual fruit. You see, when a heart belongs completely to Our Lady, the desires of that heart align with the Will of God. That heart will desire holiness and closeness to the Savior. When this purity of heart and desire is achieved, the fulfillment of the eleventh promise is extraordinarily meaningful. If a soul asks to grow in holiness, to increase in devotion, and to do the Will of the Father, Our Lady obtaining those things for that soul will be the fulfillment of that heart’s desires.
A key takeaway could be regarding the importance of forming one’s heart and devotions in such a way that one’s requests of Our Lady would align with the Will of God
The twelfth promise is for aid in the necessities of those who propagate the Holy Rosary Propagating the Rosary, in our understanding, is about spreading awareness of and promoting widely the practice of praying a minimum of five decades per day
For those who choose to use their talents for this purpose, Our Lady promises her help for our necessities.
The thirteenth promise ends this section with the single best gift we poor sinners could ask for-- the intercession of the entire celestial court at the hour of our death. Our Heavenly Mother also obtained their help during life.
This section of the 15 Promises can be summarized as the practical help section of her promises. She says we can obtain all we ask of her, she will help us for our necessities, and we can have the whole celestial court as our intercessors during life and at the hour of our death
When attempting to reach Heaven, these practical gifts can make the difference in reaching our Eternal goal So be sure to pray the Rosary today, and everyday
Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary, pray for us
Next week we will examine the final two promises of the Rosary.
"It is simply impossible to lead, without the aid of prayer, a virtuous life."
~St. Ephrem (306-373)
"Virtues are formed by prayer. Prayer preserves temperance. Prayer suppresses anger. Prayer prevents emotions of pride and envy Prayer draws into the soul the Holy Spirit, and raises man to Heaven"
Today, the beheading of St. John the Baptist is observed.
Indeed, he is a glorious martyr for Our Lord and was killed in vengeance after being arrested for having spoken the truth on the immoral marriage of Herod. But that’s not all. Here are a few things that are notable about him:
1) He was born without original sin, because He received the Holy Spirit in the womb of Elizabeth, at the sound of Mary’s voice greeting his mother. This is why we see images of Our Lord, Our Blessed Mother and St John the Baptist together The three of them are the only three who were ever born without original sin, though how they got there was unique to each
2) St John calls us all to conversion As the prophets foretold, He came before Our Lord to “make straight the way of the Lord ” For us who know how the story ends, St John can seem like a minor character in the grand scheme In fact, his was a pivotal moment in Salvation History, when things started to finally,
finally turn around. The Hebrews had long toiled and awaited their Savior. It was in his role that the whole world received the news of the arrival of the coming Savior. He was also the first of that time to call Our Lord the Lamb of God.
3) When Jesus learned of the news of the beheading of His cousin, He went out to be alone. While the scriptures don’t tell of a close relationship between the two, Our Lord seemed to be affected by the loss of St. John, going out of the town when He heard. Perhaps because it was a step in the direction of His own Passion. However, this was the occasion of the feeding of the 5,000 At a time when Our Lord was seeking a bit of solace to process the news of St John’s death, He instead chose to teach the people and feed the crowd, having mercy on them and performing His largest public miracle
May we be inspired by St John the Baptist to live and if needed, to die by the truth of the Gospel, and to imitate Our Lord in serving others in our most impactful ways even when we are dealing with out own difficulties.
