Art Students Showcase Portraits Castleton University students’ work was on display throughout the month of June at Arts So Wonderful, a Burlington, Vermont-based nonprofit visual and performing arts space for youth ages 14-25.
The students who are participating in the show include:
The group show, “Portraits,” consists of artwork created by students during the spring semester. These works of art come from a project called “Three Self Portraits.” The students were tasked with creating a traditional 2D self-portrait, a 3D ceramic version, and a self-portrait with a medium they had never experimented with before. What you see is a selection from all the different versions.

Castleton Launches New Virtual Tour Prospective students can visit campus from the comfort of their home through Castleton’s virtual campus tour, which was recently updated to include additional stops and new interactive features.
Visitors can interact with hot spots throughout the tour, including photos and videos that provide an insider’s perspective into life at Castleton, while also being introduced to Castleton students, faculty, and staff.
The tour provides 360-degree panoramic views from 20 different locations across Castleton’s main campus and satellite locations in Killington and Bennington, Vermont.
The virtual tour is a resource for admitted students who are looking to become more familiar with campus and for alumni who want to see the many ways their alma mater has evolved throughout the years.
The experience begins at the Alumni Gates, which provides a sentimental nod to Castleton’s rich history and student traditions. Stops along the tour include the Fine Arts Center, home to Castleton’s art, theater, music, and graphic design programs. Science labs, the library, and lecture halls across campus are also on display. These locations highlight academic life at Castleton, while views of athletics facilities, residence halls, and different dining options around campus provide an insight into student life. 12
Created in collaboration with YouVisit, a branch of EAB that specializes in virtual tours, the tour is also offered in Spanish and is accessible for people with disabilities. The virtual tour was launched by Castleton’s Admissions and Advancement Offices, and complements oncampus experiences and visits.
