ITS TIME TO MAKE THE CHANGE TO INDUCTION MyAppliances Account Director, Craig Taylor, discusses why Installers, retailers and consumers should consider switching from more conventional hobs to induction. There are many reasons to make the change to induction hobs. One of the most important of these is that they are more environmentally friendly than gas and ceramic hobs because there is little energy wastage as all of the heat is concentrated in the pan and the other hobs heat up the air around the pan. In addition, induction hobs now include technology that can sense when the pan is not on the hob and switches off automatically. Safety is also an important factor due to the fact that if your customer forgets to switch off the hob it will not heat up until the pan is in place

and therefore it removes much of the risk of the end-user burning themselves unlike standard electric or gas hobs. Furthermore, there is no more need to worry that you may have left the gas on when you have left the house! Induction hobs are simple to use and easy-to-maintain as all they require is a simple wipe down of the glass surface and therefore has no requirement to remove pan stands for manually washing. Aesthetically they are great too as they're nonfussy, contemporary designs will complement any modern kitchens scheme. 
