BiKBBI Inspector Roger Groves was awarded Sport Supporter of the Year at the EFL Awards in London on Sunday 14th April. A lifelong Shrewsbury Town supporter, Roger has been handed this prestigious accolade for his tireless work with the ‘Supporters Parliament’ in recent years. This progressive initiative acts as a conduit between club and fans where dialogue and feedback is encouraged to the

benefit of all. In addition to his work with the ‘Supporters Parliament,’ Roger has also helped build awareness of the clubs new Fanzone, funded by the ‘Football Foundation,’ the Fanzone was instrumental in the introduction of the safe-standing area to Montgomery Waters Meadow (Shrewsbury Town FC’s stadium). Speaking about his award Roger said, “It’s fantastic to
receive this award because as lower league football fans we never expected to be recognised like this. It would be prudent to mention every Shrewsbury fan across the world as we couldn’t have done this without the support of the people around us. We love our club and we do what we do because we want to make life better for our fellow fans” Congratulations Roger!
