Newsroom El Comercio de Colorado Civic Center Park will come alive again May 7-8 with the sounds, food and culture of Latin America. During that first weekend of May, the 33rd annual festival “Cinco de Mayo, celebrating our culture” will take place. This event that began as a small celebration has grown into one of the largest Cinco de Mayo commemorative events in the world. “The event is about bringing people together and highlighting the beauty and tradition of the Latino culture. Denver has a very rich Latino culture that is underrepresented at other big city events. We are very proud to bring that Hispanic vibe to the heart of Denver and highlight all the incredible Hispanic artists, musicians, and businesses,” said Andrea Barela, president and CEO of NEWSED, the organization that leads the event.
