We did not see the road on the right because of the jam and we did not know that we had to take a right immediately after the crossing – as a result, after an hour’s driving we found ourselves heading towards Rewa instead. It was dark by now and we headed back as best as we could to reach the right road which turned out to be a beauty all the way to the t-junction where we turned left for the tiger reserve. After driving for some time, the road started deteriorating at one point it virtually disappeared and we had to drive off the road than on it. This continued for about 8km in the darkness with the reserve forest on either side till we reached the gates and then the main administrative office of Bandhavgarh. cannot speed as wild animals often cross over from one side of the park to the other. It was a good thing that the room in our cottage at Wildflower Resort turned out to be large and comfortable and most importantly, the bathroom had running hot water available.
