INTRO Dear Business and Community Leader(s): Mission Accomplished Transition Services (Mission Accomplished) is preparing to help aspiring fashion professionals learn how to market themselves and elevate their employment potential in the local and global creative economy through the Fashion Edition, a professional development and career exploration coaching program. To meet this goal we are calling on business and community leaders to serve as sponsors for season 2. The Fashion Edition will help up to ten (10) aspiring fashion professionals, ages 18 ​ -35, prepare for a career in the industry as emerging designers (clothes and accessories), merchandisers, interior designers, journalists, event planners, models and more. PROGRAM DETAILS During this 3 month program, seasoned fashion and talent development professionals will help them learn and brag about the skills they have as aspiring fashion professionals, develop a realistic career transition plan, create professional documents to present in job, college and vocational training applications and interviews and upgrade their self- marketing, networking and project management skills. By the end of the program the students will have significantly elevated their employment potential in the industry and move into paid internships offered by the program. Our partners from the local creative economy - the Albany Barn, Bella V Boutique (clothes and accessories) and Moxie (a fashion styling business) - will bring over 25 years of expertise into the classroom. The partnerships allow us to align employers' hiring needs with the program curriculum. By the end of the Fashion Edition, the eager aspiring fashion professionals will have a better understanding of the business behind the industry and be prepared to launch their career or take it to the next level.
