Sugar Skull with Maggie

Magdalena (Maggie to her friends) was born and raised in Mexico City. Maggie moved to the Dallas area in 1985 when she was 14. In 2007, Maggie began creating traditional Mexican sugar skulls. At first, she made small batches to decorate to her child’s middle school Spanish class. What started as a one-time project expanded to multiple schools and eventually caught the attention of various Día de los Muertos celebrations Every year, Maggie and her family create thousands of sugar skulls to share with the community.

AROUND WORKSHOPS!

This is a 1-day class program where students will learn how to decorate their Sugar Skulls.

• Students will be presented with different skulls that have already been made.

• Each student will choose three skulls they would like to decorate.
