Working Together – “of
one
accord” Christian Science healing – working together in care for one another
“Fulfil ye
my
joy, that ye be like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord of one mind.” (Phil. 2:2)
As Fall arrives in the Pacific Northwest, all of us at Canterbury Crest are grateful for all the opportunities to support Christian Science nursing everywhere. Looking over the year, we are grateful for the demonstrations of fellowship of care in church communities and homes, in the Pacific Northwest and everywhere.
This year our newsletter will begin to have a nationwide reach. We welcome everyone to explore the resources and share the information about Christian Science nursing. Canterbury Crest is sharing news and links as we join the collaboration in key support organizations and individuals promoting the healing work of Christian Science nursing.
“As you work, the ages win;”
The 2025 theme for The Mother Church annual meeting is “As you work, the ages win.” Canterbury Crest is carrying this directive forward in its work and mission. Collaboration – working together – gives Christian Science nursing a strong foundation in promoting excellence in this fellowship of care.
“It takes a village” (– African proverb)
I
can of mine own self do nothing: ...
As we work, we also realize, just as Christ Jesus understood and showed his followers, we never find success by going it “alone”. He declared, “I can of mine own self do nothing:” (John 5:30 to 1st :) After Christ Jesus’ ascension the disciples formed community and gave – “as every man had need” – “breaking bread from house to house” – supporting one another. In fellowship we learn to rely on God’s care together as we follow Christ’s command to “love one another” in caring for one another.
On the following pages you will see how Canterbury Crest is represented in the strong community network of support organizations for Christian Science nursing and how you can be involved in supporting Christian Science nursing in your community.

Serving on the Board has given me the opportunity to use my talents in support of the Cause of Christian Science. But more importantly, it has increased my understanding of the value of Mary Baker Eddy’s provision for Christian Science nursing and helped me to see the God given talents expressed by Christian Science nurses. It is a blessing to see the love expressed and to be a part of this work!
