This is the first time in a lot of years I can say when I sat down to write this forward, I am genuinely optimistic about the beef industry in Canada. Prices are good (and look to be getting better), inflation has somewhat levelled off, and feed inventories in Manitoba are in good shape. All of that being said the margins are still super thin and the only way to stay in business is to have cattle that can do it themselves. We consistently have received positive feedback on our bulls in regards to their fleshing ability, structural integrity, and calving ease. We expect this group to be no different and should perform no matter where you live. Our herd is raised and selected to be as “hands off” as possible. With 2 full time jobs, a growing family, and an ever growing farm enterprise you can bet I have no time or desire for pet projects. These are good cattle, at what I believe to be fair prices. Terms: Bulls sell by private treaty. First come first served. Once agreement on price has been reached a 50% deposit by cash or cheque will hold your bull until delivery in April/May.
Guarantee: NYK Cattle Co guarantees to sell you a bull that is structurally sound and will have passed semen test by a licensed veterinarian prior to delivery. Should any bull fail to be a satisfactory breeder, unable to physically service a cow or heifer, he will be replaced with a bull of equal value if one is available, or credit will be made available for another bull. A replacement bull will not be provided in the event of injury or mismanagement.
