Membership Updates

Dear Members,

If you haven’t seen me around the club before, my name is Lauren and I’ve been working alongside Dan, our memberships manager whilst also organising events for our wonderful Royal Suite. It’s been great to be involved in such an exclusive club and see how much effort the Cambridge Country Club team put in, behind the scenes

I’m excited to get stuck in and start planning some amazing events for the club over the next few months and hopefully get to know some more of you.

To any members who have welcomed back friends or family home for the summer break, make sure they utilise our fantastic Health and Wellness offer which is a 10 week student membership for £175. With full benefits of the club facilities, our wide range of fitness classes and discounts in our spa and bar, this is a great opportunity to spend the summer with your nearest and dearest

I hope you all have a fantastic summer at the club, and I look forward to welcoming many more of new members.

Sincerely,

GOLF

DearMembers,

The end of June and month of July has been an exciting time at Cambridge Country Club

The end of June saw David Robinson's Men's Captains Day and had a great turnout, bringing the membership and their guests together The third of July was Colin Dye's turn hosting his Senior Captain's Day. Thankfully I only gave away a smaller amount of balls this time around doing the beat the pro challenge! Both days were fantastically run and great fun.

Well done to both Captains and their support teams.

The Men's Captain's overnight away event took place at Hanbury Manor and it was a privilege for me to join 19 other members for the away trip The event comprised of a Ryder Cup style format and was closely contested. Well done to the Captain's red team that narrowly won the match against Vice Captain Trevor Peer's blue team.

The Captain's events raise a great deal of money for the Captain's charity and are well supported. we recently held the NHBC Charity Golf Day at CCC and the event raised over £5000 towards Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity

We look forward to the Ladies Captain's Day on the 25th of July and wish Donna well for her special themed day I'm promised some content after the Ladies event.

Continues overleaf...

GOLF

Finally a warm welcome to Ben Evans, our new General Manager who started earlier this month. He joins us with a wealth of experience for his new role

Thank you also to Simon and his greens team for his continual hard work and improvements made to the course condition Thank you to Ruth and her team at Cotto for looking after our members and societies catering requirements so well. Well done to my team in the pro shop for raising the bar in customer service and looking after the guests.

If August is as busy as July then we are set for another great month I hope to see you either on the course or around the club very soon.

Sincerely,

Aaron Howard Accredited PGA Head Professional
