The Power of Teamwork

CAMBRIA’S TECHNOLOGY TEAMS DELIVER A POWERFUL NEW WEBSITE AND SKYROCKET THE COMPANY’S SUCCESS IN DIGITAL ENGAGEMENT.

JOHNSON Last year, early on a 20-degree December morning, dozens of Cambria’s digital technology experts gathered at 3am in Eden Prairie, MN, for the official launch of the company’s new website. Greeted by carafes of coffee and trays of homemade goodies, teams of excited employees prepared to reveal their many months of hard work to the world. Once the proverbial switch was thrown, their celebratory moment seemed somewhat anticlimactic, but in the very best way. They’d done such a good job. Their preparation was so thorough. The launch was a seamless transition from old to new. But to say “it works,” although great, is to understate the accomplishment. Because since that December day, the goal-breaking performance results of the new website deserve ongoing celebration.

Chief Digital Officer Grey Greenwald says although the old site was beautiful, it wasn’t well organized which made it difficult for people to find what they were looking for—a problem made

worse by the lack of a site-wide search function. It also didn’t perform well on mobile devices and the content wasn’t optimized to be found by search engines like Google.

“We want and need more organic traffic to fuel our business,” says Greenwald. “That means we want more online searches for quartz-related topics to lead people to Cambria’s website. Once there, we want people to find an intuitive layout where they can naturally find what they’re interested in.”

But how did we know what people were interested in? Research. Chief Marketing Officer Carol Olson says, “We wanted to learn about our audience so we could know what to prioritize. This allowed us to build a strategy that best serves both consumers and partners.”

Brand Content Director Mariah Carlos helped conduct dozens of one-on-one interviews and surveys with consumers, professional partners, and internal stakeholders to uncover their wants and needs to create a map outlining the optimal

website user experience. The discovery confirmed that people love our brand and our imagery, but found our website challenging to navigate.

According to Olson, what we learned can fuel a broader digital marketing strategy even beyond the new website. “We considered,

validated, tested, and retested,” says Olson. “Because ultimately, if the consumer wins, we all win.”

Once the research was compiled, it was time to begin building. But not so fast. The new website would be built using an entirely STORY CONTINUED ON PG. 4 >>

Celebrating Success!

CAMBRIA RECENTLY CELEBRATED the graduation of nine students from its English program in a ceremony at its Slab Manufacturing Facility. The program was created for Cambria employees whose first language is not English, allowing them to learn by attending classes two times a week during their regular workday. Employees receive their regular pay during attendance. The graduation is celebrated annually as a way to recognize students’ achievements and to share Cambria’s dedication to breaking down barriers to learning, providing resources, and fostering a learning environment that benefits all

individuals. Since its inception in 2015, 58 graduates have successfully completed the program. The 2024 class included eight Spanish-speaking students and one Frenchspeaking student. “We take pride in our diverse employee population and recognize the importance of supporting and enhancing the English learning experience for non-native speakers,” said Bridget Prehn, Cambria’s Program Leader. “Through this program, we build employee morale and confidence, creating opportunities for personal and professional success.” Students in the program are from all Cambria locations across North America. ✦

CoNversations with our colleagues | Chris RECCHIA

Regional Vice President Chris Recchia leads an East Coast team of sales professionals who are excited to maximize new opportunities.

Q: Share a bit of your career past, present, and future.

A: I started my career with Black & Decker and DeWalt power tools and accessories sold primarily at home improvement centers and mass retailers. I also led sales efforts for Jacuzzi, Beretta, and Caesarstone. Since joining Cambria, I’ve been focused on onboarding and developing team members and providing resources and tools to streamline processes to help teams grow business in their markets. There’s also emphasis on fostering and growing key business partners and expanding our business in all channels—led by the best group of engaged and capable leaders and sellers I have worked with in my career.

Q: How do you define success and help your team achieve it?

A: We have seven East Coast markets: Boston, New York City, Philadelphia, Washington DC, Charlotte, Savannah, and Atlanta. Our

ultimate scorecard is slabs sold, with focus on the right localized market strategies, investments, and calculated risks to expand or generate new business.

Q: What’s your approach to building a strong team?

A: It’s about simplifying our message in a complex route to market and focus so we can execute at a high level. It’s a commitment to our team’s learning and development and promoting a visible, transparent, and accountable culture through leaders embedded in the market weekly.

Q: How will the new SDC in Washington DC help grow Cambria’s business in that market?

A: In my first role as General Manager of the Mid-Atlantic, our Washington DC location looked more like a start up—no bathrooms, no AC, just slabs in a large warehouse. Since then, we’ve grown a great team that’s just beginning to scratch the surface of this market’s potential. So this SDC grand opening is personal and special. I’m thrilled for a new permanent home that will provide a great customer experience and lead to significant growth! ✦

Q&A with Tripp Parker, Executive Vice President, Sales

Get to know what guides Tripp’s leadership style as well as some of what he might enjoy on a summer day.

Q: What is a great professional achievement?

A: The strength of a good organization is determined by the quality of its people. When I think about the many members of our sales team who I’ve had the opportunity to interview, hire, train, work with, and mentor, it gives me a great level of satisfaction. One of my goals is to build strong leaders in this organization and I feel that I have done this many times over.

Q: What are some key principles or values that guide your leadership style?

A: Most importantly, my faith. And to lead by example and with purpose. Never stop listening and learning. Be open to trying new ideas and empower leaders to think and do the same.

Q: Describe your leadership style and how it’s evolved over your career.

A: I have learned to tailor my leadership style and apply it to the right situation. There are certainly times when I need to be autocratic and a pace setter. However, I believe that in order to build a strong foundation of leaders, I am focusing on more of a democratic and coaching style. Asking our leaders and teams what they think and why, while coaching them to find the best solution.

Q: What is your favorite activity to do outside of work?

A: Golf because it is a lot like life in which success depends on how well you manage your environment and yourself.

Q: A favorite summertime activity?

A: I grew up in Charleston, SC, so I love the beach and being on the water.

Q: Favorite music genre?

A: I appreciate all genres and can jump from classic rock to country to R&B.

Q: Favorite Summer Olympic sport?

A: I love basketball, but also beach volleyball and soccer. ✦

The Power of Teamwork

new technology platform with powerful new tools that would set up the company for ongoing digital success. Except no one on the team had experience with it. “Building on a new platform while working quickly were challenges,” says Susan Panelli, VP of Digital Program Management and Engineering. “But we have such great people. We spent a lot of time together and built a lot of trust.”

A contractor helped facilitate the start of the process that Cambria’s technologists, like Application Architect Brian Harrington, along with multiple software teams, would take over laying out and writing all of the necessary code. Harrington says, “Since the new website would run using new technologies, communication across all functions was really important. Fortunately, we have a committed team and I’m grateful for that. I’m also really proud of the improved performance of the site.”

There were also hundreds of details that needed to be addressed to ensure an uninterrupted shift between platforms. For example, if someone bookmarked a link on the old website, and that link is moved … the link will “break” if not redirected to a place on the new website. “There were definitely moments of ‘holy bananas,’” Panelli says about the scope of the project. “But I’ve worked on many implementations and this one went incredibly smoothly because of good planning and clear communication.”

Tasked with managing the contractor relationship with all of the project deadlines along the way, Senior Director of Digital Product Management Kara Seliga says her challenge was getting and keeping everyone on the same page while

also remaining flexible enough to shift gears when necessary. There is also a ton more work happening since the launch. New web content is regularly being added. And Seliga says, “While the site’s new improved functionality is fun to see, we’re currently only leveraging a portion of the capabilities of this new platform.” This means, as the team ramps up its knowledge and testing, the site will just keep getting better.

Greenwald notes three of the most important content improvements so far:

• Revamped informational and navigational content to help consumers find their way through the site and explain how to purchase new countertops.

• The Design Palette now has a more graphical interface and an ability to filter designs by color and style, with Design Detail pages that bring front and center what we heard people are looking for.

• The Inspiration Gallery is incredibly easy to use and allows users to see more design details, order samples, and discover where to purchase.

As for functionality, Panelli says the new site-wide search is handsdown the best improvement. “There are also little things you don’t notice because we noticed for you, like moving your mouse over the navigation bar and not having the drop-down menus disappear. We’ve thought that through so that every person who comes to our site feels comfortable. It’s beautiful and also easy to use.”

Additionally, the entire new site is now 100 percent indexed by

Google, meeting an important project goal. “It’s snappy—pages load quickly even on mobile,” Greenwald says about the improved site speed. In addition, Greenwald notes a few barometers of success as measured by any website’s usability based on performance, accessibility, and SEO (search engine optimization). “We exceeded several of our 2025 goals in these categories at launch,” says Greenwald. “We blew the doors off for desktop experience. And for mobile, we got to where we anticipated we would be by Q2 2024.”

But most importantly, Greenwald is proud of how the entire team came together to make it happen. “It took a lot of people to get out of their comfort zones. Everyone dove in and did a great job with a very complex activity. We pushed ourselves,” he says. “The team rallied around meeting and beating our commitments, and we even came in under budget.”

Panelli says, “the marriage between our creative team, content team, and technology team is amazing. No one person made this work. There are a lot of unsung heroes on this project who weren’t necessarily front and center, but were critical in delivering this website.”

People like Digital Content Manager Emily Johnson share similar thoughts. “I loved working with everyone on the team,” says Johnson. “For how much we were creating and how quickly we were building, it wasn’t painful. That’s because in stressful situations, process is critical and trust in the team is what keep things on track.”

So, that early December morning might not have felt very dramatic for those who’d already been working in the new digital environment weeks before it went live. But it certainly was an impactful day when one pauses to understand the magnitude of the project, the intentionality around teamwork, and the results of these combined efforts. ✦

these obstacles that fueled her drive, instilling in her a hunger for success; each hurdle she faced, each obstacle she overcame only fueled her further and propelled her into each day.

Shelton’s childhood in North Carolina was marred by a mother and father with deep addictions and the inability to do any real parenting of her, her younger brother, and her older half brother. This led to many days of hunger, isolation, Child Protective Services (CPS) visits, and despair. Something her younger brother has yet to recover from fully and her half brother sadly succumbed to suicide. As a result and after many years of being tossed around between relatives and friends with little to no real upbringing, Shelton and her brother never really experienced a sense of belonging or had a family to call their own. She was bounced from North Carolina to Florida where her aunt and uncle lived, back to her parents, to her grandmother, and to friends of relatives, never really laying a foundation. In Shelton’s words, it was during those days she was just surviving. She spent most of her youth being moved from house to house and at times treated as a personal maid to those who claimed to want to protect her. There were life lessons along the way though most of them harsh.

Despite the challenges of growing up without the support of a traditional family structure, Shelton refused to let those circumstances define her. Instead, she instinctively leveraged those trials to shape her character. Shelton was driven and ultimately was able to attend college on her own, determining her

own destiny and with the occasional visits from her aunt and uncle. There were rough times, but along that journey she realized she didn’t want the same fate as her parents. Establishing meaningful connections, dedicating herself to hard work, and persistently pursuing a life of significance became her guiding principles.

As Shelton navigated life on her own, a serendipitous encounter with the Houchen family during her collegiate years paved her way to Cambria, establishing a solid foundation through cherished relationships—a true testament to the power of connections that has ultimately led to her present-day success.

Starting at Best Buy under the guidance of the wife of Cambria Regional Vice President of Sales Brad Houchen, Shelton’s career began humbly working in a variety of positions at the well-known electronics retailer. Through her unwavering work ethic and relentless determination, she quickly rose through the ranks, earning increased responsibility and recognition along the way. When an opportunity at Cambria presented itself, Shelton seized it, eager to advance into a new chapter of growth and opportunity. Even at the onset of her career at Cambria she helped rally her colleagues to organize relief efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Ian, showcasing her leadership and compassion in the face of adversity. “Shelton doesn’t focus on what is behind her, she focuses on what is in front of her,” said Houchen. “She doesn’t take no for an answer, she sticks to it, and finds ways to overcome objections.”

Perhaps Shelton’s greatest strength lays in her empathy, her ability to connect with others on a deeper level. Shelton has a tendency to focus on the needs of those around her, and through her experiences at Cambria, she has begun to realize the depth of her own capabilities, gaining confidence with each new challenge. That has been evident in her interactions with Cambria business partners. “She is relentless in sharing the values of partnership and finding ways to meet and overcome objections with success,” said District Manager Chris McCloy.

As a two-time President’s Circle recipient, Shelton’s accomplishments speak volumes about her commitment to excellence. Her entrepreneurial mindset and unwavering dedication to her craft set her apart as a leader in her field. To this day, Shelton’s story is a testament to the power of resilience and tenacity in life and it has helped steer her in her career. Through sheer determination and an unyielding spirit, she has carved out a path to success, proving that with the right mindset, anything is possible. ✦

INNOVATION

Cambria’s Latest Milestone

UNVEILING INNOVATION IN THE NATION’S CAPITAL

In the prolific landscape of Washington DC, where economic prowess meets architectural innovation, Cambria continues to make its mark across North America with the grand opening of its newest Sales and Distribution Center (SDC) and Showroom in April of this year. This milestone represents not just a new facility but is a testament to Cambria’s continued commitment to community investment and showcasing its leading quartz designs.

The expansion into the DC area began in 2021 when Cambria made its debut in the market with a temporary location. The leased facility served its purpose but Cambria wanted to cater to the area’s designers, end users, and business partners with a state-of-the-art showroom, a place where they could meet, align with consumers, and be inspired by the countless design choices available.

In March 2023, that goal was realized as ground was broken for the new facility in Manassas, VA, just outside of Washington DC. This significant investment wasn’t just about erecting a building, it was about integrating seamlessly into the fabric of a community that is undergoing prolific real estate development.

The development and construction was led by Joel Peters, Cambria’s Vice President of Real Estate. In his role as a real estate strategist, he scoured the streets, following the wisdom of “never drive the highways, always stay on the side roads.” It was this persistence that led to the discovery of a six-acre site that would soon transform into Cambria’s newest SDC. With a vision in mind, Peters and his team navigated through the intricacies of development, from sourcing real estate to overseeing construction and ultimately the completion of

the 25,000-square-foot SDC this past April.

The new location is strategically located in Prince William County, a short drive from the nation’s capital, and 20 miles from Fairfax County, prominently positioning Cambria among economic powerhouses and a burgeoning population in Manassas. This particular area is filled with elite tech entrepreneurs and movers and shakers within a number of industries. For Cambria, it’s not just about proximity; it’s about being part of a community where innovation thrives and where the demand for premium quartz surfaces is ever-present.

The company-wide planning of the new Washington DC SDC began nearly four years ago. This new facility, and the others like it, are a testament to the cross functional relationship and interdependence between the departments at Cambria. Sales, Operations,

CAMBRIA PARTNERSHIPS

The Coastal Stone Group, Creating More Than Rectangles and Squares

A CAMBRIA PREMIER PARTNER’S TRANSFORMATIONAL JOURNEY LEADS TO EXPANDED FACILITY AND ELEVATED CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE. BY KATHY JALIVAY

Glenn Kross, a well-known stone industry executive with over two decades of experience, leads Coastal Stone Group. Coastal Stone Group is an umbrella entity comprising Coastal Countertops, a fabrication business that serves builders, remodelers, designers, and homeowners in Maryland and Delaware, and Coastal Quartz Solutions, a national partner in the fabrication of stock vanity tops and commercial cut-to-size projects. Under his leadership, the company has carved a niche for itself with both regional and national clientele creating a bevy of opportunity and growth.

Coastal Stone Group, recently honored as Fabricator of the Year by Stone World, is entering into a new phase of its business, transforming from “that granite place.” This new phase includes construction of an 85,000-square-foot facility. The first phase concentrated on consolidating operations under one roof; phase two will reveal a new showroom, corporate headquarters, and an indoor slab yard. These developments mark a promising future for this highly regarded Cambria Premier Partner, who proudly works with the team at the Washington DC Sales and Distribution Center and Showroom.

fostering a robust business. Guided by a servant leadership philosophy, Kross champions a culture of integrity and mutual respect, instilled by his family upbringing. It is this shared vision among his team that he believes has been a key driver in their overall success.

Not only is Kross’ focus on his own people but also on their customers. By focusing on high service and unwavering dedication to quality, Coastal Stone Group has garnered customer accolades and consumer confidence. Its significant growth over the past two years is evidence that the plan is working. “I look at it this way,” says Kross, “do we really just make countertops? We look at [customers’] faces when someone gets a brand-new kitchen, a fresh start—they just invested a significant amount of money in a renovation. We cut more than rectangles and squares. We complete someone’s vision that they have dreamt about and invested in. And that service model is what we want to achieve—high service, high reward—and the accolades will come with that. That is what attracted us to Cambria, this is our shared vision.”

The new showroom will have vignettes inspired by innovations Cambria showcased at the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) over the past two years including a fluted island and barn door–style sliding quartz backsplash. “The great thing about our industry is you never stop learning,” says Kross. “And when you think you have a good base of knowledge, and then you see what Cambria shared at KBIS, you think, ‘wow, I would have never thought of that.’”

In addition to staying on top of the trends, the people are paramount at Coastal Stone Group. Kross values his long-standing team members, especially his leadership team of Sarah Nicholas, Jeff Campbell, Joe Nicholas, Kyler Woodland, and Cindy Williamson, recognizing their pivotal roles in

With quartz dominating their portfolio, Kross credits Cambria’s commitment to them as a partner and their drive toward excellence for their exponential growth in this segment. As most things go, success is a two-way street. Cambria District Manager Matt Dawson says of Kross, “He is a man of his word. If Glenn says he is going to do it, you can put your money on it getting done. That is the type of partner we love at Cambria.”

It is clear to see the partnership with Cambria isn’t just about products, it’s a shared dedication to consumer confidence and satisfaction at all levels of the business. With dedicated employees, a new building, and cutting-edge technology, Coastal Stone Group is not just cutting rectangles and squares, they’re shaping dreams and enriching lives, one countertop at a time. ✦

Reading Terminal Market is in the heart of Center City and is the spot to get something to satisfy your cravings whatever they may be. You can have a taste of Philly, the Pennsylvania Dutch, or down south from the Bayou. One of District Manager Neil Friedman’s favorite breakfast spots is Sabrina’s Cafe , not far from the Philadelphia Art Museum and its famous steps. Sabrina’s is known for stuffed french toast, friendly staff, and quick service. For a night out, try Rosalie , a new Italian restaurant with a showstopping Mersey™ bar or Wilder , a wildly creative neighborhood restaurant and event space located just outside the city in Rittenhouse Square with gorgeous Huntley™ installations throughout.

PHILADELPHIA

Living in Washington DC, District Manager Matt Dawson has spent endless hours sharing local museums and hotspots with friends and family who visit. Topping his list is the Smithsonian , with 19 museums, 21 libraries, and a zoo! Check out the National Museum of Natural History to see the magnificent Hope Diamond or the National Museum of American History to learn about the cultural, social, and political history of our nation. Dine out at Via Sophia for classic Italian dishes and fresh-from-the-oven pizzas, featuring Rose Bay™. Grazie Mille is another notable spot for great cocktails and live music—don’t miss the Blackbrook™ bar.

ATLANTA

As an avid sports fan, District Manager Rex Kamm says Mercedes Benz Stadium or “The Benz” is a must stop. Cheer on the Atlanta Falcons or Atlanta United from the VIP sections and rest your drink on the Berwyn™ counters throughout. While you’re downtown, visit the Centennial Olympic Park , ride the Skyview Atlanta Ferris Wheel , or check out the World of Coca-Cola museum. Buckhead is a great area for shopping and dining out. Check out the Cambria Gallery or see a show at the famous Fox Theater , whose stage has been graced by the likes of Elvis Presley, Bruce Springsteen, Ray Charles, and the Rolling Stones, among others.

CHARLOTTE

Charlotte may be 2½ hours from the coast, but you can still enjoy outdoor and water activities at the US National Whitewater Center on the Catawba River. Try whitewater rafting, kayaking, zip lining, and mountain biking. Check out the latest exhibits at the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art in uptown and get your photo with the Firebird statue at the museum’s entrance. Dine at Fahrenheit , one of District Manager Justin Bowden’s favorite spots. With a fabulous rooftop patio, Chef Rocco Whalen serves up approachable and cutting-edge Mediterranean- and Asian-style food on many Cambria installations. Another Charlotte highlight is Crave Dessert Bar , a late-night spot with a great patio, Brittanicca™ countertops, and a dessert and cocktail menu to please any palate.

District Manager Andrea Fontaine grew up spending summers at Martha’s Vineyard and even lived there for two years. She recommends traveling the 2½ hours from Boston to stay at the Harbor View Hotel in Edgartown. If beach bumming is your thing, visit Katama Beach for the big waves, or spend the day at State Beach , famous for the feature in the movie Jaws. The best seafood and views can be found at Lookout Tavern in Oak Bluffs. Larsen’s Fish Market has the best take-out seafood. Walk to Menemsha Beach with your food for the sunset! And make sure to visit the famous gingerbread houses in Oak Bluffs.

OLYMPICS IN THE GENES

Lou Nanne, the grandfather of Bianca Peterka, Sales, played on the 1964 US Olympic hockey team. Her father, Tino Lettieri, represented Canada in 1976 and 1984 as the goalkeeper for the soccer team. Her brother, Vinni Lettieri, also pictured, is currently an NHL forward for the Boston Bruins.

THIS YEAR’S OLYMPICS FEATURED 32 DISTINCT SPORTS.

Among them, a core group of five sports track & field, cycling, fencing, gymnastics, and swimming has graced every edition of the games. Meanwhile, other sports have experienced fluctuations, with some making periodic appearances. Notably, the 2024 Olympics welcomed breakdancing into the fold, while bidding farewell to karate, baseball, and softball. Looking ahead to the 2028 games in Los Angeles, baseball, softball, cricket, flag football, lacrosse, and squash will join the roster, while breakdancing will be phased out.

THE

EIFFEL TOWER

Built by Gustave Eiffel to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the French Revolution, the Eiffel Tower finished construction in March 1889. It is the mostvisited paid monument in the world, averaging 25,000 people every day.

WOLFE VS. PHELPS

Justin Wolfe, Sr. Director of Process Technology, was an all-conference swimmer in college, winning the MAC Championship for the 100 fly and earning a spot in the 2012 Olympic trials, where he competed against Michael Phelps.

Paris, France, played host to the 29th Summer Olympics from July 26–August 11. This global event brought together 203 nations and over 10,000 athletes.

DID YOU KNOW?

There were over 5,000 medals earned at the Olympics and Paralympics this summer. Each medal was infused with a small piece of the Eiffel Tower. Also, gold medals are made mostly of silver. A medal made of pure gold would cost close to $32,000!

FOR THE FIRST TIME IN OLYMPIC HISTORY, the Opening Ceremony did not take place in a stadium but rather along the River Seine, with the parade of nations conducted as a boat parade.

Kalna Bobyn, Director of Commercial Sales, and the Penn State Volleyball team won the Big Ten championship and the NCAA Division I title in 1999. In the championship game, they faced Stanford, led by Olympic gold medalist Kerri Walsh.

CAN’T HURT ME and NEVER FINISHED both by David Goggins

David Goggins was a Navy Seal. Both of his books talk about the never-ending journey of channeling your inner strength and being a master of your mind. When the voice in your head tells you to quit, take action on your task twice as hard. We are constantly facing adversity and we have to adapt to changes as a result of that adversity.

ESSENTIALISM by Greg McKeown

Essentialism is more than a time-management strategy or a productivity technique. It is a systematic discipline for discerning what is absolutely essential, then eliminating everything that is not, so we can make the highest possible contribution toward the things that really matter. Amanda says, “I have applied learnings from this book both professionally and personally in my life and recommend this book to anyone!”

Alan says, “His take on work ethic and unique perspective on life is very inspiring.”

Taking on the Trash

A community initiative leads to cleaner roads outside the Cambria Slab Manufacturing Facility.

In late 2023, Cambria took on the responsibility of maintaining a section of Highway 169 in Le Sueur, MN, as a way to support the community and keep our roadsides clean. This spring, a dedicated group of Operations and Safety team members devoted a day to clearing litter from the roadside. Led by Jenny Backer, Environmental Compliance Manager, the group collected over 125 bags of trash, plus one recliner! Scheduled cleanup efforts will be organized each spring and fall. ✦

CAMBRIA COOKS

GOLD MEDAL DESSERT

AN AWARD-WINNING DESSERT THAT FEATURES THE FLAVORS OF SUMMER.

Pound Cake Trifle

Prep Time: 30 minutes

Yield: 1 large trifle dish, approximately 10 servings

INGREDIENTS

• 1 pound cake of choice, we suggest using Trip’s Lemon Crisp Pound Cake from The VeryVera Cookbook: Recipes from My Table (page 151)

• 2 lbs. fresh strawberries, sliced with stems removed

12 oz. fresh blueberries

6 oz. fresh raspberries

1/3 cup granulated sugar

1 (5-oz.) package instant French Vanilla pudding mix

• 1½ cups whole milk

• 8 oz. cream cheese, at room temperature

1 (14-oz.) can sweetened condensed milk

• 1½ cups heavy whipping cream

1 tsp. pure vanilla extract

INSTRUCTIONS

1 Cube the pound cake into about 1-inch pieces. You will need enough cake cubes to make three layers in the trifle dish. Mix together the berries and sugar in a medium mixing bowl. Set aside until ready to assemble.

2 In a large bowl, beat together the pudding mix and whole milk. In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, whip the cream cheese and sweetened condensed milk until smooth and creamy. Add in the heavy cream and vanilla extract. Beat until soft peaks form, about 5 minutes. Fold in the pudding mixture.

3 To assemble the trifle, start with 1/3 of the cake cubes in the bottom of the container. Dollop 1/3 of the custard mixture, then 1/3 of the berry mixture on top. Continue layering cake, custard, and berries until all ingredients are used. (You may have leftover pound cake.)

* EDITOR ’ S TIP: SUBSTITUTE DIFFERENT FRUITS & TOPPINGS TO CREATE A DESSERT THAT MATCHES YOUR TEAM OR COUNTRY COLORS!

4 Cover and refrigerate the trifle until ready to serve. This dessert can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.
