As is popularly said, when you take care of yourself, you look good. And when you look good, you feel good building in the city has the word “one” in it. “Imitation is the best form of flattery,” says Rohit.

Rohit is a style freak, he loves to experiment with his attires. Talking about his favorite style of attire, Rohit says, “My clothes, shoes, and lifestyle are my greatest extravagance. David Beckham is the inspiration Rohit takes his style inspiration from the great footballer David Beckham. Rohit says, “He is a trendsetter and one of the most well-groomed men on earth.” Rohit pinpoints the most difficult task in being a stylist leader, saying that people often assume that all you have to offer are your style and looks. They do not look beyond to see the person behind, who is intelligent, hardworking and compassionate, trying to work towards his goals like everyone else. Rohit never misses out on making a balanced style statement which reflects his hard work and compassion along with his style that speaks about him as an individual.

The excellent medley of style and intelligence together with brilliance have made him a successful cum stylish leader. The biggest factors that have helped him to be successful and stylish leader are hard work and the desire to reach the best of his potential. “And of course, my mom’s guidance and an unflinching belief in my decisions,” adds Rohit.

The best thing about being a stylist is that when you look the part of being a developer whose buildings exude luxury, you compliment your work. “My customers are always excited to meet me because of my work on Signature Developers and my glamorous lifestyle which I share snippets of through my social media. It’s nice to be an inspiration and impact people positively,” says Rohit.

People often wonder what their favourite icons or inspirations do when they are not engrossed in their work. Talking about Rohit, when he is not working, he is found thinking about work. Real estate projects take years to reach their completion, from the moment the idea is conceived and is at the drawing board stage, to its concept planning, making of blueprints, getting approvals, its actual construction, working on selling the product – there’s never a dull moment. “I’m almost always working. All said, despite my rigorous schedule at work, I do make sure to train my body on a daily basis. Fitness is key to a healthy mind and body, which aids in boosting my performance at work too,” says Rohit.

Growth as an undisputed leader All these years, Rohit has grown up as an undisputed leader. When it comes to taking decisions as the leader of the organization, the most important decision he had to make was to take a call on the direction in which his Company would move. He was clear that he wanted to move towards being a LUXURY brand which one aspires to own. he encourages open discussions and the flow of ideas. He believes that everyone in his team has valuable ideas to offer and he likes learning from everyone he meets or works with.

When it comes to innovative ideas, there are many vital sources. In the organization, the greatest ideas come from his Mom. She is a visionary. “I admire her passion for work and her commitment to persist. She is a constant source of encouragement for our Company and guides us whenever we turn to her,” says Rohit.

His advice to somebody taking up a leadership position for the first time would be to “get ready to fail because failure is natural and the best way to learn. When you make mistakes in the beginning, don’t be frazzled, they are in fact a boon, not a bane. Everybody walks on a different path but the goal can be similar. More than giving advice, I’d say that learning from your own mistakes while on the job is unprecedented.”

Apart from style, fitness keeps him on his toes and has an invigorating impact on him. He simply can’t imagine his life without a fitness regime. “Fitness, for me, has been a way of life.

What began as a hobby is now a habit. I thank my trainer and buddy Faiyaz Ali Khan for it. Fitness has helped me focus and redirect my energies in the correct places. My regime is a mix of cardio, kick boxing, Pilates, swimming and strength training”, exclaims Rohit. He is a teetotaler and non-smoker. For him, even carbonated drinks are a taboo and he totally advocates clean living.

He further states that if the by-product is looking good and feeling invincible, it’s worth a try. He recommends everyone to stay fit.

To emerge as a successful entrepreneur cum leader, consistency is the key. As they say, “If you are persistent, you will get it. If you are consistent, you will keep it.” Though Rohit is doing great in the domain of real estate, he wishes he had stepped into it slightly earlier, it would’ve given him the chance to fall in love with it earlier. His modus operandi is something that sets him apart from his peers in the industry.

“My style simply works on the basis of putting faith in my team and thinking as a customer, not a developer,” says Rohit.

The pain or agony we witness, melt us and motivate us to bring a positive change in such people’s lives. Today we are going to talk about one such person who himself experienced such trauma in his personal life, which later on became the source of inspiration to establish an autism care centre. We are talking about none other than Pete Pallares himself.

Healthy habit to be at the top of her game

The idea of setting up her own business erupted when she was in college. While doing her first hospital internship,

she was setting herself up to open her own clinic back in Lebanon, which was completely due to the support of her parents who made it happen actually. She always had a sense of entrepreneurship and she wanted to go by her my own rules. “This was not the complete case in Kuwait, I was lucky enough to choose Diet Care that was already open and in business, but due to my work and input and the support of the board and chairman, I reached where I am today”, she exclaims.

Talking about her success mantra, being healthy is an innate habit for her that she has due to her study and career choices. It has helped her a lot to be at the top of her game.

She wakes up early because with her work schedule and kids, the only time she can and have the energy to exercise is in the morning. She eats healthy and drinks lots of water.

Furthermore, she is an inquirer by nature, so she reads a lot, she does target finishing a book a week. One of the most important aspects she believe is to know how to manage time efficiently because life always requires a person to multitask and there are demands that pull you in every direction.

So, it is very important to allocate the right time in the right place, and to measure and track your steps or your improvement, in order to keep on taking action and to avoid procrastination.

During her entrepreneurial journey, she has had one vital make or break moment in her career. “I would say the biggest make or break moment was for me to move from a very successful always fully booked clinic in Beirut and make the transfer in life and in career to Kuwait. People back then thought I was kind of crazy to do that, but when looking back, I believe moving to Kuwait was one of the best decisions I have made, and it is the best career decision I took actually”, she says.

Sarah Dimashkieh is a Lebanese working in Kuwait. She has been living in Kuwait for the past 11 years. She studied nutrition in Lebanon at the American University of Beirut (AUB), then she worked in a couple of hospitals in Beirut (Lebanon) before opening her clinic there. While opening her clinic she felt to go deeper into nutrition so she did masters in clinical nutrition also in AUB. Her thesis got published in the obesity journal as it was the first study of its kind to be done in humans. She received a few certificate such as ACSM certificate for sports nutrition and the HACCP for food hygiene and safety practices.

After a few years of having her clinic in Beirut she moved to Kuwait where she had the opportunity to work in Diet Care and her growth in Kuwait started from there up. Like most of these tips, moderation is key. If you like a bold lip, feel free to go for it. But keep everything else very natural. Avoid overly dramatizing yourself with things like false eyelashes, smoky eyeshadow, or an abundance of bronzer. Use your makeup to enhance your natural look. Make sure you don’t have lipstick on your teeth, any make-up smudges, or food in your teeth. Likewise, try to keep a toothbrush and toothpaste handy just in case.

Don’t Over Accessorize

Less is more. And again, moderation is key.

Accessories can make or break an outfit. They tend to be a focal point, so make it a good one. Choose a high quality handbag or briefcase. Instead of piling on the jewellery, choose something classic like a nice set of pearl earrings or a simple necklace.

Do Think About Color

Certainly around here, we believe in the power of color, as you know! So, while we are all for wearing color in the office, consider the psychology of color when choosing what color to wear. For instance, red is a powerful color, but can also be seen as aggressive.

So, consider what’s on your agenda as you dress for the day.

Again, always remember that your style is simply another way to convey your overall message at work.

Be intentional with how and what you convey.

Do Familiarize Yourself With The Environment

Different offices demand different levels of attire.

Does your office require full professional attire? Or

is business casual appropriate? Be cognizant of what your office environment permits. But I urge you to still dress at the top end of that range. For instance, your office may permit jeans on Friday. But should you wear jeans? Perhaps no. Watch the executives in your office. What do they do? Again, dress for the job you want, not the job you have.

Bottom line: Dress like you care! Your appearance is a reflection of your professionalism. So, let’s be intentional in the choices we make.

While dealing with her clients, she empathizes with them and makes them feel comfortable. Empathy is what separates great leaders from good leaders. The ability to understand the feelings of another person enables you to adjust your leadership approach and, in turn, allows you to lead situationally, as well as intuitively.

Expressing her views on the challenges that female leaders are facing nowadays, she says, “One of the top challenges facing female leaders today is being seen and treated as an equal to male counterparts”. Other challenges include being confident and speaking up. “In all of these situations, my advice would be the same – be clear about what you want, go for it and do not let fear hold you back”, she says. Build up your communication and leadership skills and seek opportunities to put them into practice. Be bold about asking for what you want and know that you deserve it. Speak up and make sure your voice is heard because you have something valuable to say.

There are a lot of things that she does in order to continuously grow and develop as a leader. It is important to continuously learn and develop your leadership skills. This is why she perused a Master of Arts in Leadership. She enjoys taking a new course or reading a book to develop her leadership skills and in turn, help others develop their leadership skills through coaching and mentoring. “I believe everything that we have learned and experienced has brought us to where we are in our lives. To evolve, requires a passion for learning and application”, she says.

Talking about the obstacles, the most significant barrier for her, as a female leader, was knowing her worth and asking for what she wanted. Several female leaders settle and are reluctant to ask for more in fear that they may be perceived as asking for too much or worse, told they are not good enough.

“Being confident about my abilities and what I am worth has been a struggle for me. However, once I became clear about what I wanted, it became easier to ask for it, and in some cases, I have been fortunate to have others support me in attaining it”, she says.

For those who want to set off in a similar direction, she says, “Have a plan and stick to it. With every progression in my career, I have reflected on where I am currently and where do I want to be. Once I have identified the gap, then I take action to bridge it”. This may involve going back to school, gaining additional experiencing, getting coaching and mentoring. Inevitably, it requires being open to change and taking necessary action to achieve new goals. She has a piece of advice for people. “Live your life with passion and focus on all the things that you can do to leave a positive impact on others. As you continue to help others realize their dreams, so too will you realize yours”, she concludes.

If you’re going for a massage and you’re wearing a mask and the therapist is wearing a mask, that would be a relatively low risk.
