However, his journey has not been an easy one, he had his own set of challenges. Coming from a non-business family, when he decided to leave his well-paid job to start ZycomTech, he had to work very hard for the initial six months before he started making little margins.

The digital marketing is fast paced and highly evolving and therefore it becomes even more important to keep updated on the latest trends. “One thing that I do with my team on a regular basis is to seek their views on resolving some practical problems from our lives, society etc. using digital and technology medium. I call these the Digi-Tech Idea Bank”, he says. This is a simple practice, but it makes his team think differently and how technology can be utilized in our day-to-day lives.

Another important thing to nurture the creative thinking among team members is to maintain a positive and happy work atmosphere. Considering they work in a fast-paced work environment, they make sure to conduct the stress buster activities. Remember, a happy mind is always creative and more productive.

What do you feel is the biggest strength of your company right now?

Arocom’s biggest strength is the knowledge expertise in the most complex business processes for Finance and Life Science domain with technology expertise in Data Science and AI. Our experience within these domains helps expedite the innovation of novel solutions for our clients. Arocom also brings the niche skills of implementing complex Machine Learning solutions to help serve the digital initiatives of international clients. Our consultants are our core strength in identifying and delivering these solutions.

What was the path you took to get to where you are today?

We took the path to explore our skills and align them with the market response and our clients’ requirements. We have persevered to expand our offerings and also be nimble with the market dynamics. We found opportunities in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Cloud Computing Space.

With already diverse experience we have capitalized on opportunities that have come. As of now, we have multiple engagements with whom our team is partnering to identify and implement the most challenging solutions for some industrial-grade problems.

Our goal is to be ‘McKinsey & Company’ in AI and Data Science consulting. Arocom is positioned very well in the areas of Data Science, AI, & Cloud Computing. It is scaling up to build the team of experts in areas of IoT and Blockchain

What have been the biggest challenges you’ve had to overcome?

Every consulting company faces the talent crunch and when you are a startup you face a multitude of these challenges at every stage. Our HR department headed by Kaushik Soni has been really over the edge in making sure that we hire the best and the right fit for our teams. We also implemented a “Work from Home” with mandatory work-life balance hours for our employees, much before the present COVID induced work from home scenario. This has seen a very encouraging response from all our consultants with some of them operating from Goa for months to enjoy life along with work. Our open culture and flexible policies have helped gain extensive support and productivity from our consultants from Ahmedabad, Delhi, Noida, Hyderabad, and Chennai.

What does your company’s hierarchy look like?

Arocom has a flat hierarchy, the structure is balanced. There is no single head of the company. Every person gets an equal opportunity and weightage to share their opinions.

There are no office hours, no closed offices, and no managerdriven approval workflows.

When it comes to the company, what are you most proud of?

We should always focus on our core strengths and offer solutions around it. Going in all the direction reduces your chances to generate effective business. One way to encourage creative thinking within the organization is to follow transparency, the democratization of knowledge, freedom to create MVP (minimum viable products), working hours flexibility and encourage work-life balance.

Where do the great ideas come from in your organization?

Ideas are not limited to expertise and knowledge. We have experienced the best of the ideas coming from the most unexpected sources. Freedom to share the ideas and converting those ideas into workable prototypes is the most important part. Even the support staff in our organization have been instrumental in some of the novel business decisions. We are proud of them.

What’s more important to your organization— mission, core values, or vision?

In these dynamic times, we believe that a single mission or vision is not enough for an organization seeking growth.

However, core values are important. They drive the overall mission and vision. We believe that we want to follow the core value of partnering with our customers for a solutiondriven delivery model and deriving maximum value for our customers.

How do you or other leaders in your organization communicate the core values?

our favorite is the wolf pack. Our most efficient fighters are the front runners, followed by a relative novice who can follow the footsteps of front runners and gain valuable expertise. The leaders are at the back orienting the team and performing regular course corrections without micromanaging every day. We have reached where we are today because our focus is on solution offering, partnership, and value creation. Partnerships with our clients mean we have a common goal and investment from our side to achieve those goals.

What is the best advice you can give to our readers?

Perseverance. Arocom has had its part of struggle from 2014 to 2019. As a start-up, we have gone through all the phases of rejections and cancellations. What helped us is the focus on strengths and a strong resolve to do it big.

Is there anything we’re leaving out here that needs to be addressed?

Yes. In the 1st year of establishment, we ranked in the top 10 start-ups in Gujarat by IIM, Ahmedabad for eCoursewiz.

We have worked with the world’s top academicians in human psychology to design solutions to understand the mechanism behind cognitive and affective deficits in neuropsychiatric illness and computational neurobiology.

We also have automated supply chain management for fortune 500 clients.

We have expansion plans for the company to further go internationally. Arocom is at an operational discussion to start the process for locations outside India. We have identified foreign locations and one of them is in the registration phase. Our immediate locations will be in Canada and Dubai.
