Announcement was made last month that Harry Utz, formerly of Lewiston, Idaho, had been assigned the Southern California and Arizona sales territorv bv Hallinan Lumber Co., of Portland, Or"go".

Utz has been identified in the wholesale lumber business in the Northwest for the past several years and will make his home in the Whittier area. He will servioe the retail lumber dealers and industrial users of all Pacific Coast species of lumber via Icl, rail or truck and trailer shipments.
New Teco Direclors Nomed
Four outstanding lumbermen joined the ranks of the Timber Engineering Company Board at its Stockholders meetins in Miami Beach, November 5. The BoarJ of fifteen historically includes a cross-section of American lumber interests, both by region and by lumber species.

Timber Engineering Company, affiliated with the National Lumber Manufacturers Association, is nationally known for its engineering and research activities serving the lumber industry since 1933. It is probably best known by its trademark ooTECO" which identifies its many construction devices for use with lumber, and the "TECO TESTED" quality control mark appearing on the plywood, particle board, and glued laminated products of the growing number of mills to which it supplies independent quality control services.
TECO general operations headquarters is in Washington, D. C., and its extensive quality control operations are centered in Corvallis, Oregon.
Portlond lumber Compony Conlinues Growth
While other lumber firms bewail the loss of markets to Canadian imports, North
Pacific Lumber Company continues to advance steadily, if unspectacularly. Latest personnel acquisitions, one each in three divisions, are Gordon C. Johnson, Donald R. Campbell and Jorgen Oast Jacotrsen.
Johnson, who attended Oregon State College and was graduated from Montana State University with a BA degree in 195I' takes over account executive duties in the firm's Construction Lumber Division after lI years as sales manager for various Inland Empire lumber firms.
The rapidly expanding Export-Import Division has absorbed D. R. Camphell, a 1955 OSC graduate in Business Administration with a background of lumber grading gained through completion of grading classes conducted by the West Coast Lumberments Association. A native of Portland, Oregono Campbell is a member of the Portland Chamber of Commeroe World Trade and Shipping Committee. He comes to North Pacific after four years as plywood and lum'ber buyer for Wilcox-Hayes, Portland.
Jacobsen, a native of Copenhagen, Denmark, comes to the Portland lumber firm after five years with lumber companies in Copenhagen and Victoria, B.C., as well as buying and inventory control work for lumber distributing yards. He holds a BA degree from the University of Copenhagen.
