It is reported that manufacturers and exporters {rom Japan, Korea, Formosa, the Philippines, Sweden, Norway and other countries frequently fly in for a few days to consult with Hoffman and Massing to determine future market trends and sales programs. The factories often have oddsized panels or cancellation orders, and through the Globe leader department spec' ializing in distress or sub-grade materials, a huge American market has been devel' oped.

Recognizing a developing market for prefinished panels and the many problems that were encountered with foreign finishes, Globe took a new approach. After long negotiation, a constant supply of premium grade, deluxe hardwood plywood panels were arranged for. Following months of experimentation Globe developed special types of finishes that are reported to im' prove with age.

States a company spokesman, "If you can visualize Technicolor on a panel-this is it. With the skill of Old lVorld craftsmen, Globe is producing and prefinishing a unique color-toned panel in a wide range of decorator colors."

Inasmuch as most of their sales are in this local market, Globe is prefinishing at its Los Angeles plant.

Topping off this American success story, is Globe's recent move to 9059 Venice Blvd., Los Angeles 34, California. Telephone numbers and International cable address remain the same.

The new home of Globe is approximately three times larger than the previous quarters, and will be {ully air conditioned and illuminated with the latest devices, with the most modern mechanization systems being installed.

Each room will be panelled in a difierent decor in decorator prefinished panels, so that the dealer can use them as display rooms for his customers.

Recently Globe has been appointed as authorized distributor for the Masonite Corporation, and a full line of Masonite products will be stocked at the new warehouse.

States Lou Massing, "We look forward to our biggest and most successful year yet. Many new and profrtable dealer products will be added to our large inventories at our new location. Most of these added items will be imported from overseas, and some new items will be from American manufacturers. Globe is constantly seeking new and better products for its many dealers.
