The role of small business in the government procurement program will be highlighted during a day-long Small Business Procurement Conference, sponsored by the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce in cooperation u,ith the Small Business Administration, October 24 at the Hollywood Palladium. Chamber President Arnold O. Beckman said the conference, first of its type to be held in Los Angeles, has been designed primarily to provide small manufacturers, suppliers and contractors with a better understanding of how to obtain government prime and subcontracts. Keynote address will be delivered by Wendell B. Barnes, administrator of the SBA, Washington, D. C.
