A nerv portable custom sarvmill service designed to meet the needs of landorvners, lumbermen and logging operators has been developed by the Palmer Engineering Co., 2036 N. Terry St., Portland 3, Oregon.

Custom sau'ing services t'ill be provided for on the customer's property. A fleet of mobile and fully portable circular sau'mill units have been assemblecl for trucking direct to each location. C)ther units have been designecl for larger and longer settings, rvherein a refuse burner, sorting chains, etc. lr'ould be required. Thus the service rvould be a complete one adaptable to any size and amount of timber to be sa\\i11.

Appointment of Ervart M. Parnum as forest engineer has been announced by E. T. F. \Vohlenberg, general manager of Masonite Corporation's hardboard plant non, under construction at Ukiah, Calif. He l'ill have charge of the operation of the truck logging road u'hich Nlasonite is builcling between the nerv plant and thc company's timber lands lying west of Ukiah. In addition he u'ill direct logging operations for the company on its olvn lands and supervise the building of additional logging roads as future deveiopments mav require.
