Newton A. Olson, retired Los Banos retail lumberl.nan, died sudclenly March 28, in Los Banos. He had been in ill health for some time, and had recently sold his business' He came to Los Banos from Colorado, where he spent many years in the retail lumber business'

He is survived by his widow, Madge; a daughter, Shirley; a son, Harold. J. Olson of Long Island, N' Y'; trvo brothers, Chester of Santa Cruz, and W' T. Olson of Arvada, and a sister, Mrs. Ruth Getz of Los Angeles'

Bishop B. Tcylor

Bishop B. Tavlor, 62, Los Angeles, passed awaY on March 30. Born in Corsicana, Texas, he had been associated with the Harbor Box & Lumber Co' for the last 25 years.

He is survived by his r'vidon', Mrs. Albertus J' Taylor, and a sister, Mrs. Anna F. Cheshire of Long Beach' Funeral services rvere held in Los Angeles on Friday, April 1.

He is survived by his widow, Clara Klug, and a son, Karl Klug, of Phoenix. Funeral services were held in the Church of the Recessional, Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Glendale, Wednesday afternoon, March 30.

Hal S. Bqldwin

Hall Sayre Baldwin, 79, California lumberman lor 23 years and a former secretary of the San Joaquin Lumbermen's Club, died in his home in Fresno after an illness of two months.

He was born in Colorado and had been in the lumber business most of his life. He came to Fresno in 1923, and was employed by the Valley Lumber Company at the time of his retirement in 1946. He was a member of the Boulder, Colo., Lodge No. 45, F. & A. M.

He is survived by his rvidow, Mrs. Stella Baldwin of Fresne; two daughters, three sons, a brother, three grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Funeral services were held in Fresno.

Ponderosa Pine Woodrvork recently has developed a free newspaper advertising mat service for retail lumber dealers.

The available mats cover ready-made advertisements in 1,2, and 3 column sizes in which the dealer merely has to add his company name and address. In addition, therb are individual mats of stock designed Ponderosa Pine doors and windows which can be used in making up advertisements.

Lumber dealers can obtain these advertising mats from their woodwork jobber supplier or from the office of tl-reir' regional lumber dealer associations.

Extend Section 608 oI Housing Act
