Following a tour of major European countries he returned to San Diego via the same route. Mr. Sullivan is past president of the San Diego Lumber Assooation.

Sellye Bissell former president of Los Angeles Hoo-Hoo-Ette Club f1, who has been recuperating from eye surg€r[r, rreports that she and her husband Gil will be moving to Santa Rosa shortly.

Good news to hear that Stella Roach, public relations director of the Los Angeles Home Furnishings Mart, is improving after a serious illness. Stella is well known to many people in the lumber industry in Southern California, having directed the publicity promotion for National Forest Products Week the past several yqprs.

Ben W. Bartels has resigned as manager of the Peoples Lumber Co. of Ventura, Calif., to become vice president and general manager of Tr-uestone Concrete Products Co., concrete block manufacturers. Bartels said he is purchasing an interest in the company.

He went to work for the People's Lumber.Co. in August of 1934, was sales manager from 1942 to 1948, and general manager from 1948 to 1959 when he became executive vice president. .i;

In 1961 the business was sold to Sun Lumber of Los Angeles, and Bartels has been manager of the lumber division.
