They came-they saw-they were conquered
These enthusiastic comments by Seattle Fair visitors reflect the high public acceptance oJ plywood paneling as a modern decorative material.
Jim Burrell, editor of Plywood,Magazine, is a curious man. He got to wondering about the public reaC-tion to plywood in the "Home of Living Liqht" at the Seattle World's Fair. S5 he-sta- tioned himself at the entrance to the dining room, above, which featured panel6d walls (of Weldwood Deluxe teak). And for nine hours one day last summer, he recorded what people said as they came in the door. The quotes above are a samplinq of what he heard. This is typicil oi the broad public acceptance of Weldwoodo paneling. Tak6 advantage of it to bujld busl- ness for yourself. And remember that Weldwodd is the most widely and consistently advertised name in paneling. Weldwood paneling is tops in quality and beauty, provides the ideal background in any room-for any decorating itrrl". "fa. out" or traditibnal. Invit6 p,iople in to "see the difierence." And, as at the Fair, when they come, they'll see and be conquered.
