Foreign Trade Themes IHPA Convenfion
"Foreign trade-the immense benefits to the American public and its importance to the country's welfare-came under sharp focus at the 7th Annual Convention of the Imported Hardwood Plywood Association, February 6-8, at the Ojai Valley Inn and County Club, 40 miles south of Santa Barbara, California.
Among the attendance of 80 executives from all parts of the country were plywood importers, distributors, door manufacturers. processors, customs house brokers. representatives {rom several major steamship companies, port authorities, the Department of Commerce, and guests from the National Plywood Distributors Association, the Douglas Fir Plywood Association, the Philippine Mahogany Association and the West Coast Metals Importers Association.
The small but dynamic IHPA group is well-balanced from aIr associatiott stand' point. It is small enough that every member can participate, yet large enough to have an efiective voice among overseas suppliers, as well as in Washington, D. C.
