New Donville Poneling

Danville hardwood prefinished paneling is made by Virginia craftsmen, from genuine hardwoods and takes its name from the town of Danville, Virginia.

Among the species available are Sutherlin pecan select, Mount Vernon birch rustic, Mount Vernon elm rustic, Whitmell walnut select, Stafford oak select, pecan wal- footage on a 1 to 1 ratio, that is, one foot of tape for one foot of actual dimension. The tape is punched on multi-channels to enable it to carry on multiple operations, such as laying out all wall sectlons, strd Iocations, window and door openings. From then on, the tape is the brains of the automation equipment.

The machine is loaded with raw materials for individual panel specifications, feeds all components into the proper location, and nails them. If the user prefe,rs not to use certain components, the locations of the components will be marked for later installation.

Colorful Tool Disploys

Two redesigned countertop or pegboard displays to hold quick-wedge screwholding screwdrivers are announced by Kedman Co. The #18 and ff35 screwdriver displays hold the same number of screwdrivers as the previous models; however, a heavier weight card has been used.

The card is adaptable to pegboard use. New graphics against a bright yellow background describe the tool. Careful pre-drilling and scoring permit flat shipment of the displays. Screwdrivers are securely held, blade-down. Nine models are available in the #18 with 22 screwdrivers in the assortment; 35 screwdrivels are available in the f 36 display.

A tape-activated nailing machine that accurately frames, double-lock nails, and selects variable stud, door and window buck locations has been perfected by General Construction Automation. The machine handles materials in dimensions of 2" x 2" up through 2" x 8", and is capable of tuming out sections for walls or floors three feet to 14' in height and in an infinite length by splicing.

A 6000-lb. EC-60 electric powered truck will incorporate Clark's quick-change capa- bility that permits the operator to inter- change between standard forks, pul-pac attachment and carton clamp in less than two minutes. The EG60's seat swiags out to the side and the overhead guard retracts so the operator easily can remove the battery.

Redesigned Foucet Line

Speakman Co. introduced a line of Kent kitchen sink fittings featuring a redesigned nozzle for improved appearance and more nozzle-to-sink clearance.

Called minit-cure, this epoxy is suited for jobs requiring fast curing time at room temperature (75 F.) It can be used to bond metals, woods, plastics, rubber and glass. Applied with a bnrsh, minit-cure is ideal for repairs, maintenance, lab work and even production. Minit-cure has a tensile strength of 2900 psi.

Cork paneling destroyed within a year by salt sprey and physical abuse at the Polynesian Village Apartments in playa del Rey, Calif. was replaced with CpR uietha,ne foam panels which have lasted 16 months without adverse effects.

The unusual panels are produced by U.S. Polpnatrix Inc. of Los Angeles, Calif. with a_ urethane foa^m system manufactured by the GPR Division of The Upjohn Co.

The liquid urethane components are mixed and poured into a flexible elastomeric mold where they foam, creating their own pnessure and forrning a skin on all six sides.

The panels $r'ere produced and installed at one-third the cost of the cork and are resistant to salt spray, sunlight, oxygen, and most chemicals. They are unafrected by rot or fungus, are not attacked by termites or rodents.
