Official Underwriters' Laboratories' tests showed l" redwood and 5/8" redwood plywood to have sufficiently low flame spread that they met the requirements of the Uniform Building Code Class II materials. In 1970 the Eastern sales office at Chicago was moved to executive headquarters in San Francisco. All sales administration was then in one building.
