Speakease Echoes Security

Security need not Preclude beautY, or vice versa, as is ably demonstrated in the new Speakease door just added to the prestigious International Line of Simpson Timber Co. qualitY entrance doors.

A speaking port, at eYe level, Permits two-way conversation without opening the door. An antique black grille covers a hinged l/8" thick tempered safety glass door. The elegant entry features 18 raised wood panels. The Speakease brings a touch of the 20s to the contemporarY look of the 70s.

New Yard Building Kit

Expanding the line to six stYles of wood yard buildings, Jer Mfg. has introduced a frame and trim kit for a Playhouse version of its leader, the Standard 'Lil' Red Barn.

The Standard 'Lil' PlaYhouse assembly materials and instructions provide for installation of a full-size window while retaining a 36" x 72" door entry. The 8' x 8' model is available in 8' and I 2' lengths.

Kits comprise numbered frame and trim pieces, all door hardware and step-by-step illustrated instructions. Finishing materials, including window, siding, roofing and optional floor panels, nails, and paint or stain are supplied from regular dealer inventorv.

Anti-vibration Chain Saw

A gasoline-powered chain saw model with triaxial anti-vibration system, deluxe safety hand guard and single trigger with safety-interlock has been introduced by the Homelite division of Textron Inc.

VI Super 2 is equipped with a Powerful 1.9 cubic-inch displacement engine and is considered "the safest and most comfortable consumer chain saw to operate," according to the manufacturer.

The new model features Homelite's exclusive Safe-T-Tip anti-kickback device that fits over the nose section of the guide bar. It has a 14" cutting attachment and retails at $189.95.
