Pyramid goes cyber UK BODYWORK SPECIALIST Pyramid Plastics has launched a new website specifically for dealers and trade customers of the Puig, Ermax, Customacces and GBRacing brands it distributes, as well as its own-brand accessories. The new trade portal will allow customers to log in and search for accessories by bike model or SKU, view stock levels, purchase at trade prices and arrange drop ship orders. They can also review their previous orders and use the new Live Chat function, which provides technical support on the fly. Stock data, pricing, image URLs and product details are also available in CSV format so that dealers can quickly and easily include Pyramid products on their own websites. trade.pyramid-plastics.co.uk

End of the road for Tippetts Motors A gainst a background of tragic family illness and surrendering its treasured Honda franchise, the historic Surbiton-based dealership Tippetts Motors finally closed down on 31 May after completing the successful sale of the property. Owner Mark Alexander announced this decision “with great sadness and a heavy heart” in a statement on social media. “It has been a great pleasure to service the motorcycle community for 60 years as a Honda main dealer and another 20 before as a British motorcycle dealer,” he said. “We would like

to thank all our customers, past and present, for their custom and the great wonderful times that we had.”

Alexander went on to tell BDN: “We are looking forward to launching a new venture very soon”.

Digital transformation for dealers

A

new white paper from iVendi is designed to help dealers complete digital transformations that will make their businesses fit for the postpandemic used motorcycle, car and van markets. Connected Retailing: Addressing the Challenges of Digital Transformation is available for anyone to download and covers a wide range of emerging trends and their potential technological solutions. “With the end of the pandemic now hopefully in sight, we’ve been spending considerable time examining how it has changed our understanding of the ways in which technology can best be used by dealers,” explains iVendi chief executive James Tew. “Some of these are quite obvious and should be apparent to all dealers but others are relatively subtle. However, taken as a whole, we believe there has been something approaching a DID-VR46s-210x76.pdf 1 07.06.2021 14:38:59 fundamental shift.” ivendi.com/whitepaper
