Kenneth Eugene Hall

Kenneth Eugene Hall was born February 26, 1930, in Rush Springs, Oklahoma, the second son of Ivy Elbert & Trina Eva (Thompson) Hall.

Ken also had three younger sisters. The family moved many times to numerous places in New Mexico and Arizona, before settling in Weedpatch/Lamont, California, area when Kenneth was 17.

He began attending the Apostolic Tabernacle in Weedpatch, Pastor Jimmy Davis. As a young man Kenneth continued to serve as a faithful member of the church in Weedpatch, then later Lamont, for more than 71 years.

There he met his young sweetheart, Barbara Leola Hensley, whom he married on November 27, 1954. They celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary in 2019.

A daughter, Brenda Kay, and a son, Kenneth Bruce, completed their family. The family includes four grandsons Jeremy Ball, Kenny, Kevin, and Jarred Hall; two granddaughters, Melissa Ball, Cassie (Hall) Cox; five great-granddaughters, and one great-grandson.

For 36 years he worked for Gene Winer Cadillac in Bakersfield which later became Penske Cadillac as an electrical systems mechanic.

He and his wife also owned and operated Ken Hall Photography in Lamont for more than 30 years. For 12 years, he and Barbara, worked for Derrel Mini Storage, until he was 89 years old.

He loved to travel with the family visiting many states across America including numerous historical sites in the United States and Canada.

He passed away early Friday morning, September 25, 2020, at home with his beloved wife at his side.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ivy and Eva Hall, his brother, Wilbur Hall, his sister, Shirley Cox, and brothers-in-law, Claudie Smithee, LaVerne Jackson, and Benny Cox. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Hall, daughter, Brenda Kay (Hall) Ball, husband, Pastor James Ball, son, Kenneth Bruce Hall, wife, Sandy (Myers) Hall, plus four grandsons, two granddaughters, five great-granddaughters, one great-grandson, two sisters, Elizabeth Smithee, and Paula Jackson, numerous nieces and nephews, and countless friends.

Ken, There are so many things I love about you, but the one quality that stands out from the rest is your desire to be the man God wants you to be.

It shows in the humble ways you serve Him... the sacrifices you make for your family... and the time you take to make me feel so special and loved. I thank God for the blessing of sharing my life with someone as wonderful as you.
