Qualification Overview
This course is for pupils who have an interest in traditional country shooting or wish to work as a gamekeeper.
Throughout this course pupils will develop a basic understanding of traditional country shooting. Pupils will also study topics such as game and wildlife identification, law and behaviour and shoot management.
This course is suitable for pupils who wish to pursue careers within gamekeeping, land management or game conservation.
The course is suitable for pupils who have had no previous experience of shooting,
Approach to Learning
This is a practical course which ensures pupils have a basic understanding of shooting and its related activities as a countryside sport.
Assessment is a combination of coursework and an external examination. Pupils will be supported with exam preparation and techniques.
