Agriculture Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma City and Guilds
Qualification Overview
This course is ideal for pupils who love everything to do with Agriculture and wish to work within the agriculture industry. Throughout this course you will cover the key principles, knowledge, understanding and skills relevant to the agricultural industry. Pupils will study a range of subjects from soil health, livestock husbandry to crop production. This will include numerous trips and visits to various commercial farms.
This qualification expands on the knowledge learnt in Level 2 Agriculture. Alternatively Geography and Science GCSE’s can lead onto this course.
Approach to Learning
The units are graded Pass, Merit or Distinction for the level 3 award. This is based on meeting certain criteria throughout the coursework, there is no formal exam for this subject.
Because the course is 100% coursework a degree of written and independent learning is required, as well as skillful undertaking of evidenced practical’s. Time will be spent on the farm in all weathers, during class time and in break times working extra duties.
