This course is suitable for pupils who wish to continue onto various careers including: Environmental specialists, Landfill engineers, Nuclear waste management, Hydrogeologists, and Geologists.
Approach to Learning
With a focus on field work this course combines taught elements with application of knowledge in the environment. Independent investigation is encouraged in the Sixth Form Science Laboratory. The course uses a mixture of teaching resources including specialist dyslexia techniques to ensure pupils achieve their best.
A Closer Look:
This is a two year course leading to examination assessment at the end of the second year. A programme of field studies are followed which are linked to the content of the course.
