Qualification Overview

This course helps pupils understand the impact of economics on everyday life. Economics affects every aspect of human experience from employment to luxury items historically and today, and this course allows exploration of such topics.

The study of economics lays the foundation for future study leading to careers in areas such as finance, banking, sales and marketing, insurance or public policy.

Approach to Learning

A Level Economics is assessed by end of course exams at the end of two years of study. Pupils will be coached in effective exam techniques.

The exam will include a variety of assessment approaches including short and long answer questions, multiple choice questions and an extended case study investigation task.

This course combines written examinations and a non examination assessment.
