NOTE: SEE "CIVIL AND LANDSCAPE" PLANS FOR MORE INFORMATION

BICYCLE RACKS: BIKE RACKS (2 SPACE CAPACITY) FOR THE COLUMBIA PIKE CORRIDOR SHALL BE AN INVERTED "U" IN GALVANIZED STEEL W/POWDER COATED FINISH.

- BIKE RACKS (2-SPACE CAPACITY) SHALL BE INSTALLED ON BOTH SIDES OF THE STREET, ALONG THE STREET TREE ALIGNMENT LINE OR W/IN THE FURNITURE ZONE (NOT TO INTERFERE W/ THE PLACEMENT OF STREET TREES OR STREET LIGHTS). AT THE TIME OF THE DEVELOPMENT, THE DEVELOPER IS ONLY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE INSTALLATION OF BICYCLE RACKS ON THE SIDE(S) OF THE STREET BEING DEVELOPED.

- WHERE FEASIBLE AND NOT IN CONFLICT W/ OTHER STREETSCAPE ELEMENTS, AT LEAST 50% OF VISITOR/GUEST BIKE RACKS SHALL BE LOCATED W/IN 50 FEET OF THE PRIMARY RESIDENTIAL/OFFICE BUILDING ENTRANCE AND SHALL BE LOCATED IN GROUPS OF TWO OR MORE. IN ALL OTHER LOCATIONS BIKE RACKS SHALL BE DISTRIBUTED W/IN A PROJECT EITHER AS A SINGLE RACK OR IN GROUPS OF TWO.

CONTRACTOR RESPONSIBILITIES

THE CONTRACTOR SHALL EXAMINE THE PROJECT DRAWINGS AND PROJECT SPECIFICATIONS AND SHALL NOTIFY THE ARCHITECT OF ANY DISCREPANCIES FOUND BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH THE WORK

THE CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY CONDITIONS AT THE SITE AND REPORT ANY DISCREPANCIES TO THE ARCHITECT BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH THE WORK.

THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR COORDINATING THE WORK AND OPERATIONS OF ALL TRADES AND DISCIPLINES. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL:

SCHEDULE CONSTRUCTION OPERATION IN SEQUENCE TO OBTAIN THE BEST RESULTS WHERE INSTALLATION OF OTHER COMPONENTS, BEFORE OR AFTER ITS INSTALLATION.

COORDINATE INSTALLATION OF DIFFERENT COMPONENTS WITH OTHER CONTRACTORS TO ENSURE MAXIMUM ACCESSIBILITY FOR REQUIRED MAINTENANCE, SERVICE AND REPAIR.

MAKE ADEQUATE PROVISIONS TO ACCOMMODATE ITEMS SCHEDULED FOR LATER INSTALLATION.

FLOOR AND WALL OPENINGS, SLEEVES, VARIATIONS IN THE STRUCTURAL SLAB ELEVATIONS, DEPRESSED AREAS, AND ALL OTHER ARCHITECTURAL, MECHANICAL, ELECTRICAL AND OR CIVIL REQUIREMENTS MUST BE COORDINATED BY THE CONTRACTOR BEFORE THE CONTRACTOR PROCEEDS WITH CONSTRUCTION.

THE CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY THE LOCATION OF ALL EXISTING UTILITIES BELOW GRADE AND RELATED SERVICE CONNECTIONS WITH THE RESPECTIVE UTILITY COMPANY PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION.

THE CONTRACTOR SHALL NOTIFY MS. UTILITY PRIOR TO ANY EXCAVATION.

THE CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE THE REMOVAL, ABANDONMENT AND / OR RELOCATION OF EXISTING UTILITIES ABOVE OR BELOW GRADE WITH THE RESPECTIVE UTILITY COMPANY.

THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PERFORM ALL WORK WITHIN STREET RIGHT-OFWAYS ACCORDING TO THE APPROVED CITY STANDARD PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS.

THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE TEMPORARY BRACES AND SHORES REQUIRED TO SUPPORT ALL LOADS TO WHICH THE BUILDING STRUCTURES AND COMPONENTS, ADJACENT SOILS AND STRUCTURES, UTILITIES AND RIGHT-OF-WAYS MAY BE SUBJECT DURING CONSTRUCTION.

CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS

ALL PROJECT DRAWINGS AND THE PROJECT MANUAL ARE A PART OF THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS.

ITEMS MARKED "N.I.C." ARE "NOT IN CONTRACT." SUCH ITEMS ARE INCLUDED IN THE DOCUMENTS AND REQUIRE CONTRACTORS COORDINATION FOR CONSTRUCTION.

DIMENSIONS:

IN NO CASE SHALL WORKING DIMENSIONS BE SCALED FROM PLANS, SECTIONS, OR DETAILS ON DRAWINGS.

ALL DIMENSIONS TO INTERIOR STUD PARTITIONS ARE TO FACE OF STUD UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED.

CEILING HEIGHT DIMENSIONS ARE FROM FINISH FLOOR TO FINISH FACE OF CEILING.

ALL INTERIOR ELEVATIONS ARE REFERENCED FROM TOP OF FINISH FLOOR BEING EQUAL TO +0'-0".

ALL DIMENSIONS SHALL BE VERIFIED IN THE FIELD PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION.

DIMENSIONS ARE NOT ADJUSTABLE WITHOUT APPROVAL OF ARCHITECT IN WRITING.

MINIMUM CLEARANCE AND OTHER DISABLED ACCESS DIMENSIONAL REQUIREMENTS SHALL TAKE PRECEDENCE IN ALL CASES. NOTIFY ARCHITECT OF ANY DISCREPANCIES.

DIMENSIONS AND GRAPHIC REPRESENTATIONS OCCURRING IN LARGE SCALED DRAWINGS SHALL TAKE PRECEDENCE OVER SMALLER SCALE DRAWINGS.

DIMENSION STRING TOLERANCES MAY VARY IN PRECISION. 1/8" TOLERANCE TAKES PRECEDENCE IN ALL CASES.

DETAILS MARKED "TYPICAL" (TYP) SHALL APPLY IN ALL CASES UNLESS SPECIFICALLY INDICATED OTHERWISE.

WHERE NO SPECIFIC DETAIL IS SHOWN, THE FRAMING OR CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE IDENTICAL OR SIMILAR TO THAT INDICATED FOR LIKE CASES OF CONSTRUCTION ON THE PROJECT.

DETAILS MARKED AS "SIMILAR" (SIM) MEANS COMPARABLE CHARACTERISTICS FOR THE CONDITIONS NOTED. VERIFY SIMILAR DIMENSIONS OR NOTES ON THE PLANS.

FOLLOW ALL MANUFACTURER'S RECOMMENDED SPECIFICATIONS AND INSTALLATION PROCEDURES UNLESS OTHERWISE DIRECTED.

ROOF COVERINGS AND ROOFING MATERIAL SHALL BE FIRE RETARDANT AND COMPLY WITH THE UNDERWRITERS LABORATORIES, INC. CLASS "A" U.L. FIRE HAZARD.
