Ladies and Gentlemen, Czech Airlines is delighted to welcome you on board one of its aircraft. We believe that you will appreciate the following information to make your flight as enjoyable as possible. SAFETY We kindly ask you to observe the “No Smoking” and “Fasten Seat Belts” signs. During take-off and landing, please make sure that your seat belt is fastened and that your seat, table tray and leg support are in the upright position. Please pay attention when the cabin crew are demonstrating how to use the safety equipment and where the emergency exits are located. We recommend that you keep your seat belt fastened throughout the flight. We kindly request you to produce the boarding ticket slip before boarding. For security reasons our cabin crew checks the date and flight number to prevent any unauthorized persons from boarding.

ELECTRONIC DEVICES The use of certain devices, especially mobile phones, is strictly prohibited on board. Mobile telephones must not be switched on, not even in STAND-BY mode. In the interest of flight safety, please consult the cabin crew regarding the use of any electronic devices.

CABIN LUGGAGE You are kindly requested to place any heavy pieces of cabin luggage under the seat in front of you and lighter pieces in the overhead compartments. Your luggage must not in any way threaten the safety or cause discomfort to other passengers. Please be careful when opening overhead lockers – objects may fall out and cause injury. The airline does not take any responsibility for luggage and personal items brought into the cabin.

FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE There are push buttons in the panel above your head. You may use these at any time to call a member of the cabin crew, to adjust the airconditioning and to switch your reading light on and off. This equipment may vary from aircraft to aircraft.

AUDIO/ VIDEO

ILL AND DISABLED PASSENGERS

Czech Airlines is pleased to offer a selection of music and video programmes to long-haul passengers travelling in its Airbus A310-300s. Audio and video programmes are listed in Skyview. This magazine is only distributed on long-haul flights.

Some aircraft provide specially modified seats and toilets for disabled passengers or passengers who feel unwell.

MEALS AND BEVERAGES Specially prepared meals, including special dietary requirements, meals for children, kosher or vegetarian meals, may be ordered when booking your ticket. The types and numbers of meals and refreshments depend on the time of day and length of the flight. All refreshments are provided free of charge.

ALCOHOLIC DRINKS Cabin attendants may not serve alcohol to passengers under the age of eighteen. The consumption of alcoholic beverages brought on board by passengers or purchased during the flight is not permitted.

DUTY-FREE SALES Passengers can pay for duty-free goods either in convertible currencies or in Czech crowns, or with American Express, VISA, Diners Club, JBC, or Eurocard/MasterCard. You will find a selection of goods and their prices given in CZK and the approximate price in EUR on pages 124–130 of this magazine. The range of goods on board may vary. Please accept our apologies if we do not have the goods of your choice on a given flight.

TELEPHONE CHECK-IN Czech Airlines is offering a new kind of service for passengers on European flights. Passengers with cabin luggage only can take advantage of the telephone check-in at phone number +420 220 113 742. You only tell us your name and the time of departure of you r flight and then you can collect your boarding pass at the Business Class counter in Terminal 1 or Terminal 2.

SMOKING All Czech Airlines flights are operated as non-smoking flights.

INTERNET CHECK-IN Passengers with an electronic ticket and internet connection can check in for their flights online. This service is available to Czech Airlines passengers travelling from Prague, Paris, Amsterdam, London, Manchester, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Stuttgart, Hannover, Dusseldorf, Berlin, Munich, Rome, Barcelona, Marseille, Athens, Budapest, Warsaw, Košice, Bratislava, Beograd, Bucharest, Riga, Sofia, Bonn, Copenhagen, Venice, Stockholm, Zagreb, Dublin and Strasbourg. Internet check-in is available 24 hours before the flight but you can you use it no later than 35 minutes before the departure. Your baggage can be handed over at the “Drop-off ” counter.
