Inrecentyears,JCPHhaskeptpace withthetimes,expandingitscopyright outputformatsfromtraditionalprint bookstoincludee-books,audiobooks, stageplays,filmsandtelevisions,Apps,characterandtrademarkusage,ex-

hibitions,toys,andmorefields.This hasdiversifiedtheoutputofcultural productsandfurtherenhancedtheinternationalinfluenceandcompetitiveness ofChinesechildren'sbooks.

First,withthesupportoftheBelt andRoadInitiative,thecopyrightof originalbookshasbeensuccessfully exportedtomultiplecountries.Under theBeltandRoadInitiative,JCPHhas exportedcopyrightsfor 16 original bookstocountriesandregionssuchas Russia,theUAE,Singapore,andKazakhstan,accountingfor 64%ofthetotalprintbookcopyrightoutput.

Second,outstandingworksofchildren'sliteraturehavebeenfrequently produced,withmanycopyrightssuccessfullyexported.JCPHhasfocused onthefieldofchildren'sliterature,concentratingonexporting 11 majorworks. Theoutputofthesetranslatedversions hasenrichedtheinternationalchildren's literaturemarketandfurtherpromoted theglobalspreadofChinesechildren's literaturestories.

Third,internationalcooperationhas deepened,andtheinternationalrecognitionofChinesechildren'sliteratureand picturebookshassteadilyincreased. JCPHhasexcelledinmaintainingand deepeninginternationalcooperation, successfullyrenewingtheArabiclicensingagreementsfor The Postman of Bro Town and Heart of Drawing Fables: A

Collection of Picture Books of Chinese Ancient Fables,ensuringthatthesebelovedworkscontinuetothriveinArabic-speakingcountriesandregions, whileenhancingtheinternationalrecognitionandappealofChinesechildren's literatureandpicturebookart.

Despitetheprominenthighlights andrichachievements,JCPHstillfacessomeissuesinexternalcooperation inchildren'sbookpublishing.First,the reserveofhigh-qualityoriginalbook contentisstillinsufficient,andthereis alackofacontinuoussupplyofbook productsthatare"bothcriticallyacclaimedandcommerciallysuccessful". Second,therearestillcertaindifficultiesinexportingJCPH'sbookstodevelopedcountriesinEuropeandthe US,andthecurrentmethodsofexport arerelativelylimitedtoone,witha lackofoverseaspublishinganddistributionresources.Third,thefunding supportandcapacityforcopyrightoutputareinsufficient.Forexample,national-leveltranslationfundingsupport hasreducedfundingsupportstandards inrecentyears,makingitmoredifficulttoexportbookswithlargevolumesoftext.

Inthefuture,JCPHwilltakeapproachesfromvariousaspectstodeepenandsolidifyexternalcooperationin children'spublishing.Ourpublishing housewillfocusonglobalpublishing

Inrecentyears,the"adorablepet"IPshavemaintained anundeniablyprominentpositioninbothdomestic andinternationalmarketsduetotheiruniquecharm andbroadaudiencebase.InAugustoflastyear,thepicture bookseries Muttropolis,co-createdbydirectorLuQiang oftheanimatedfilm Back to the Sea,creativeproducerof thedocumentaryNanjingRocker,directorandartdirector PhoenixChen,andItalianconceptualartistDanielMendo,waspublishedbyJieliPublishingHouse.Recently, oneoftheauthors,LuQiang,sharedhisthoughtsandexperiencesonpicturebookcreation,IPdevelopment,andderivativeproductcreationinaninterview.

Lookingbackatthepastfewyears' themes,eachonehascloselyaligned withindustrytrends.In 2019,wefocusedon"Art,ArchitectureandDesign",exploringhowaestheticsareintegratedintochildren'sbooks.In 2020, wefocusedon"ToddlersFirstBook", exploringtheenlightenmentvalueof earlychildhoodreading.In 2022,we exploredthetheme"BooksandSeeds", thinkingabouthowchildren'sbooks conveyconceptsofenvironmentand life.In 2023,welaunchedthe"NonfictionPicturebooks"theme,bringing high-qualityknowledge-basedchildren'sbooksintothesightofmorereaders.In 2024,ourthemeis"FashionThemedPictureBooks",exploringthe cross-disciplinarypotentialbetween children'sbooksandfashionart. Third,afullyintegratedecosystem. Inthepast,peopleviewedchildren's bookfairssimplyasaplaceforrights trading,butnowCCBFhasconnected fivecoreareasincludingcopyrighttrading,channeldistribution,contentcreation,derivativeservices,andreading promotion,trulylinkingtheupstream anddownstreamoftheindustrychain. Additionally,in 2024,welaunched asignificantaction partneringwith theChildren'sReadingMaterials WorkingCommitteeofthePublishers AssociationofChinaandtheChinese BoardonBooksforYoungPeople (CBBY)tolaunchtheannualbranded event,the"InternationalChildren's BookPublishersDialogueForum".
