Crossfit is a hugely popular strength and conditioning program used by police academies, tactical operations teams, champion martial artists and top-level professional athletes all around the world. The key to its effectiveness lies in its constant variation, high intensity, and emphasis on functional movements. In other words, with Crossfit, you will build unrivaled strength and conditioning through highly varied and challenging workouts that are heavily based on fundamental everyday movements. However, before you get to experience the full intensity of your Crossfit workout, the class will begin with a dynamic warmup session lasting around 5-10 minutes. This will involve natural movements such as light jogging, jumping, squatting, lunging, pushups and pullups. This won’t be done with full intensity, as it’s just a warmup to prepare you for the full workout!

BENEFITS

CrossFit burns calories: When performed properly, high intensity workouts like CrossFit are extremely difficult. The American Council on Exercise (ACE) reports that men can burn 15-18 calories per minute and women can burn 13-15 calories per minute while doing the workouts.
