Welcome to our monthly diary.

Henfield’s Dementia Friendly Community (DFC) Diary 8th ANNUAL DEMENTIA CONGRESS - we attended the National Congress in early November in Nottingham and the most powerful impression was that slowly, community, hospitals, health, and care homes are starting to work together. An exciting development!! HOPE - REAL PEOPLE - REAL LIVES

DEMENTIA IS EVERYONE’S BUSINESS - THIS IS WHERE YOU COME IN!! Everyone knows somebody with dementia and, when we spoke with families in Henfield and West Grinstead Parishes, most people said they want to keep going out and about using local shops and service. As a business, service or club can you support families to continue to be your valued customer/member by doing some very simple things? Certainly Pinks Hairdressers, NatWest Bank, the Medical Centres and the Youth Club are considering ways to support people affected by the condition. Find out more and join us in making our villages the first dementia friendly villages in West Sussex.
