BY Bella Black he 1990s were an iconic time period, full of popular artists like the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pearl Jam and Radiohead. Rock music was very popular, and Nirvana was the number one artist from the 1990s. During this time period, styles like grunge, the rave scene and hip hop grew in popularity. Perms and big hair made its way out of the '80s and into the early '90s. Mom jeans, big sweatshirts and chunky sneakers were the common style of the '90s. '90s style is starting to come back now in 2021, becoming popularized by teens who enjoy raiding their parent's closets. The World Wide Web was also launched April 30, 1993. As the first web browser, it became very popular amoung teens and adults. With the end of the Cold War, the 90s were full of peace and prosperity.
