Almost Nothing Happened Tart

Meg Rosoff

Paris. August. One long summer of nothing. 48 hours of everything. From the inimitable Meg Rosoff comes a chaotic and irresistible new YA novel.

17-year-old Callum is facing an unfortunate truth: his summer exchange in rural France was a failure. No epic adventure, no summer fling, and his French is still rubbish. Just as he should be boarding the Eurostar home, without even a hint of a plan, Callum impulsively decides to stay (and doesn't bother telling his parents).

He only knows one person in Paris: his long-lost cousin, Harrison, an oboist. As night falls on the hottest weekend of the year, an adventure begins – involving a motorbike, a curfew, a stolen oboe, a priceless Matisse painting, at least one police chase, a climate protest and the enigmatic, alluring, irresistible Lilou …

A completely delicious, funny, fast-paced summer read from the multi-award-winning author of How I Live Now, The Great Godden and Friends Like These

Meg Rosoff is the author of several young-adult novels including the bestselling How I Live Now. She is the winner of the Carnegie Medal, the Printz Award, the Deutscher Jugendliteraturpreis, an Alex Award and the coveted Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award. She lived in New York for nine years, where she worked in publishing and advertising.

Becki Jayne Crossley

When the world is telling you what you are, how do you speak your truth?

Libby’s world shatters when a video of her ‘cheating’ on her popular boyfriend, Dan, goes viral the night he gets into a serious bike accident.

Overnight, school friends turn into bullies and the only person who will talk to her is Neha, the new girl everyone else ignores.

While Dan is in a coma, oblivious to the drama unfolding around him, Libby and Neha grow closer.

But Neha’s not ready to admit she’s been crushing on Libby for months. And if Libby follows her heart, she’ll be making her already messy life a lot messier.

Smart, sweetly funny and heartwarming, Tart is a must-read exploration of coming out and accepting yourself. Perfect for fans of She Gets the Girl and Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda

Becki Jayne Crossley has had a book in her hands since before she could actually read, and since mastering the art of holding a pencil they've been writing down stories. As a bisexual author, Becki is passionate about queer YA stories that portray the realities of coming out and discovering your sexuality.
