The Bixby Metro Chamber of Commerce is a not for pro t organization consisting of business and community leaders who have joined together to promote the civic and commercial progress of our community.

Business@Lunch // This Networking Luncheon combines building relationships with business education. Upon arrival, network and build relationships while you enjoy lunch. Each program portion of the luncheon gives a piece of business education that you will be able to take back into your business and begin implementing immediately.

After Hours // A free networking event for members in a relaxed and casual environment that gives the highlighted business a great opportunity to promote their products and services.

Women Connect // Women Connect is designed to inform, inspire, and connect women in the Bixby Metro business community. This luncheon will promote networking and education for professional women and women entrepreneurs while highlighting female leaders in our community.

BUSINESS ADVOCACY

Government A airs // The Bixby Metro Chamber of Commerce recognizes the importance of legislative issues to our membes. Each year the Chamber develops a Legislative Agenda through the help of our Government A airs Committee. BMCC hosts many events inviting government officials to speak directly to our Chamber partners to find out what issues are important to them, and strives to keep partners up to date on legislative issues that can a ect their businesses.

eNewsletter // Members of the Chamber receive a free subscription to our weekly emails. These emails keep Chamber Members up to date on Chamber events, committee meetings, community events and Member business news.

Bixby Economic Development Advisory Council // BEDAC is an advisory group created by the City of Bixby, Bixby Metro Chamber and Bixby Public Schools to help ensure that all economic development initiatives and programs for the Bixby community are compatible, coordinated, and focused on the common goals of all entities.

Move to Bixby Guide // As a city, Bixby has earned the right to call itself the fastest growing community in the state. There is not another organization like the Chamber that represents businesses. The Schapiro Group Study on Chambers of Commerce

• Most consumers (59%) think that being active in the local chamber of commerce is an e ective business strategy overall. It is 29% more e ective, however, for communicating to consumers that a company uses good business practices and 26% more e ective for communicating that a business is reputable.

• If a company shows that it is highly involved in its local chamber (e.g., sits on the chamber board), consumers are 12% more likely to think that its products stack up better against its competition.

• When a consumer thinks that a company’s products stack up better against the competition because the company is highly involved in its local chamber of commerce, it is because he or she infers that the company is trustworthy, involved in the community, and is an industry leader.

• When consumers know that a restaurant franchise is a member of the chamber of commerce, they are 40% more likely to eat at the franchise in the next few months.

• When consumers know that an insurance company is a member of the chamber of commerce, they are 43% more likely to consider buying insurance from it.

• When consumers know that a small business is a member of the chamber of commerce, they are 44% more likely to think favorably of it and 63% more likely to purchase goods or services from the company in the future.
