OBJECTIVES To choose a room/space that is experiencing a faulty lighting and ventilation system and plan out a record of all main electrical fixtures namely, lighting and ventilation. In the end proposing a new improved design to overcome the problems faced by drawing out the electrical wiring and at the same time make informed assumptions, where not visible, based on my knowledge attained from the lectures I have attended thus far.

CHOICE OF CLIENT I, Bisyari Bin Mohd Roslan, will be using myself as the client of this project, as I have witnessed a situation that fits the criteria of this assignment upon completion. All images and measurements are taken by me and within the housing compound

CHOICE OF LOCATION Level one living room is the chosen area as there is an existing dilemma involving lighting and ventilation, the original idea was leaning on to my own room but I have decided the upper hall fits best to this assignment.

DESIGN PROPOSAL It is my intention to implement these improvements for the redesigning works of lighting and ventilation, as I got rid of the wall light and added two additioanal LED ceiling lights, for the ventilation aspects, a completely new ceiling fan with build in lights and exhaust fan is applied to the space, resulting in better visibility and air flow.

SUMMARY ON HEAT TRANSFER

Based on my thorough observation and calculation on heat transfer from walls, it has been stated that : -

WALL 01 & WALL 02 has the highest reading amount of heat transfer Peak amount of heat is given out at 1968.75 in the afternoon on WALL 02 Area & thickness of the wall does affect the amount of heat transfer Heat transfer of space does depend on the location of site, as WALL 02 adopts a sunlighteffect from the opposition of windows that can be found.

REFLECTION

Upon the completion of this assignment, it is to my personal opinion that I have expanded my knowledge regarding many aspects which includes the heat transfer from walls, heat calculations, heat insulating materials and market prices for materials involved. I have a much better understanding on matters stated and thoroughly enjoyed applying my learning outcomes performing this assignment. I would say, the idea of my own house involvement does make a difference on my contribution to this task.
