Bialik. Welcome
Acknowledgement
We acknowledge the Wurundjeri people as the traditional owners of the land on which we learn.
We thank Elders past, present and emerging for guarding Country and for reminding us of the importance to tread lightly.
We also acknowledge the Elders of the Bialik community who, in 1942 – a time of tragedy and horror for the Jewish people and for so many others around the world – visioned and developed Bialik College as a new type of schooling for the youngest members of our community.

Message from the Principal
Bialik. Welcome home.
We are proud to be Melbourne’s oldest Jewish school, founded in 1942 with a vision of nurturing Jewish identity, courage and excellence. Today, that same spirit lives on. From our awardwinning early learning through to our world-class VCE results, Bialik offers a truly outstanding education from three months to Year 12 – all on one vibrant state-of-the-art campus.
We are a pluralist Jewish school – a community in which every child’s Jewish identity is honoured, and where differences are celebrated. Our Culture of Thinking, developed in collaboration with Harvard University, empowers students to think critically and creatively, whilst our dedicated educators ensure that every child is known, valued and supported.
At Bialik, academic success and menschlichkeit (the act of being a good and kind person) go hand in hand. Our students are not only high achievers but also compassionate young people who are inspired to make a difference. Whether on the sports field, in the science labs, through Jewish life, or on stage in the performing arts, our students flourish in every sense.
This Prospectus will offer you a glimpse into the heart of the Bialik family. I warmly invite you to explore what makes Bialik so unique – a place of learning, laughter, ruach and belonging.
Dirchu na Oz – Step Forth
with Courage.
