Amenities
Rosewood is rapidly changing from its beginnings in the early 20th century. The Doris Miller Auditorium is a structure that still remains today. After a decline in the 1970s, the area is now home to new construction, remodeled homes and the opening of the Martin Luther King Jr. MetroRail train station.
Activities
Close to downtown Austin, Rosewood has a lot to offer in the way of small businesses and Austin nightlife. Aside from the recreation center which offers events and classes, there is the Millennium Youth Entertainment Complex. Constructed in 1999, the complex features an indoor roller rink, bowling alley, arcade, a movie theater, and a food court.
Outdoor enthusiasts enjoy the Boggy Creek Greenbelt Trail shaded with pecan trees and live oaks. Spanning 1.7 miles, there are open spaces for playing and walking as you enjoy birds, squirrels, scenic views, and lots of native plants.
