Welcome to the Neighborhood

Windsor Park is a transformed area in Northeast Austin. While holding on to its unique hotspots and local businesses, the established area has grown far beyond its farmland roots settled in the 1850s when a good portion of the land was owned by Robert and Mae Berkman.

Recent development is due in part to the development of the Mueller retail center which is home to the neighborhood’s first large stores and restaurants. Offering many ranch-style homes built between the 1950s and 1970s, Windsor Park is an affordable area with wide streets lined with towering trees. Nearby amenities include Bartholomew Park which offers 57 acres of space along Tannehill Creek and includes a pool, splash pad, and disc golf course. Additionally, residents enjoy baseball fields, picnic areas, barbecue grills, and basketball courts. Other nearby parks include Dottie Jordan Park, Patterson Park, and the Hancock Golf Course.

Amenities

An active neighborhood association supports residents in their neighborhood pride as most houses are well-maintained and updated. Local hotspots include Carousel Lounge, Corona Coffee, Nomad, and Paco’s Tacos.

School Districts

The Windsor Park area is a part of Austin Independent School District where younger children may attend Andrews, Blanton, or Harris Elementary schools.

Bertha Sadler Means Young Women’s Leadership Academy, Austin Achieve Public School, or Gus Garcia Young Men’s Leadership Academy often serve children of middle school age, and Reagan Early College High School or Austin Achieve Public School serves students grades 9-12.

Location

Located near I-35 and Highway 290, Windsor Park rests in a location that easily allows residents to reach other parts of Austin.

Only about 6 miles from downtown, residents can enjoy dining and live music before returning home to a quiet, tucked away community.
