Welcome to the Neighborhood

Quiet suburban living with the convenience of all the necessities just minutes away describes an area in south Austin called Maple Run. With parks, trails, and a preserve all within walking distance, Maple Run is a beautiful, established area that first entered the Austin scene in 1979.

By 2006, the area was completely built. Some of the older homes in the area resemble newer builds through renovations and upgrades. The area is considered affordably priced and offers many home sizes for potential buyers.

Amenities

Nestled in a neighborhood close to so many amenities, Maple Run is walking distance to shops and eateries at Arbor Trails or just a short drive away to Escarpment Village. For residents that enjoy Austin city life, the neighborhood has easy access to downtown as it rests between Loop 1 and Brodie Lane.

Within minutes, residents of Maple Run can take in a show at the Paramount Theater, enjoy some outdoor fun at Zilker Park, or enjoy a true Austin vibe by visiting shops and restaurants on South Congress.

Hiking & Activities

A nearby city park that has many desirable features is Dick Nichols Park.

With over 150 acres of trees and trails, playgrounds and picnic tables, visitors are often seen playing, walking, riding bikes, enjoying a barbecue or swimming at the pool.

Another location in Maple Run is Karst Preserve, which features hiking trails that wind throughout the area and even lead to a few caves. Nature’s beauty is all around this area.

South of Circle C Ranch is Meridian, a master planned community that began development in 2005. Built between 2006 and 2014, the European-inspired homes in Meridian rest on spacious lots and are composed of brick, stone and stucco. Averaging over 3,200 square feet in size, many homes in Meridian offer open floor plans with a gourmet kitchen, a media room, and many large native oak trees.

Amenities

Amenities include a community center with a large swimming pool, a covered pavilion with picnic tables, and plenty of hike and bike trails. Bear Lake is a private lake within the community, covering more than ten acres of natural landscape and hiking trails. Only minutes away are other local favorites including the Grey Rock Golf Course and Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center.

Activities

Located near FM 1826 and Highway 45, the neighborhood offers easy access to downtown Austin, just 15 miles away. There are plenty of nearby shopping and eating opportunities in Circle C Ranch as well as Dripping Springs. Nestled in one of the southern most parts of Austin, Meridian is a family-friendly affluent neighborhood that exemplifies the idea of community living.

School Districts

Children in Meridian attend Baldwin Elementary, Gorzycki Middle School, and Bowie High School.
