Welcome to the Neighborhood
Development in Lost Creek began in 1976, and the area was later annexed by Austin in December 2015. Named after a remote area and tributary of Barton Creek, Lost Creek is an upper-middle class area in the Westlake area that developed over a period of 30 years. Development began in the back of the 700+ acres land and continuously moved closer to Loop 360. The 1980s saw improvements in the area with the addition of a country club, sewage treatment plant, and golf course.

Amenities in the area include the Lost Creek Country Club, which is a private club containing an 18hole course. Membership provides more than golf. It includes dining, athletic facilities, and swimming as well. The Barton Creek Greenbelt borders the Lost Creek neighborhood and offers 22 acres of hiking trails, some of which lead to a waterfall and a swimming hole. The nearby Boulder Park features a sports area, picnic area, and playground. Additionally, the neighborhood’s location on Loop 360 provides easy access to nearby dining, shopping, and all parts of Austin.
