As we bid farewell to a dynamic and eventful Term 2, I am filled with pride and gratitude for the remarkable journey we've experienced together. Our International Day celebrated unity, embracing Beaconhouse's diversity with cultural displays, performances, and parental involvement. The Annual Sports Day showcased student athleticism, fostering camaraderie and determination. Congratulations to Al Hosn House and all participants for their memorable success.

Our Term 2 School Trips were educational and joyous, providing diverse experiences from Al Ain Zoo to Trampo Extreme and IMG World Dubai. Special recognition goes to Year 5 students for their commendable sustainability efforts. Looking ahead to Term 3, we embark on a new educational journey with resilience and purpose, including iGCSE assessments for senior students. Our commitment to holistic experiences remains unwavering as we work together toward continued success.

Thank you to our dedicated staff, enthusiastic students, and supportive parents for making Term 2 a resounding success. Wishing everyone a restful break and anticipating more successes in the upcoming term.

HAG AL LAILA

BPS celebrated Hag al Laila with great enthusiasm, filling the event with exciting activities, traditional decorations, and an abundance of gifts, ensuring a memorable experience for all. The celebration featured a variety of fun activities and games curated to reflect the spirit and traditions of the occasion, allowing everyone to engage and celebrate together.

The remarkable efforts of our Arabic team greatly enhanced the event, transforming the school into a vibrant and culturally rich environment. Their dedication and creativity were evident in the spectacular decorations, featuring traditional Emirati artifacts and vivid displays, adding an immersive experience for the children. Authentic Emirati artefacts and foods were showcased, allowing children to connect with Emirati culture on a deeper level.

In the spirit of generosity, children were treated to gifts and traditional bags of candies, fostering a sense of community and unity among all. The success of the Hag al Laila celebration was a testament to the collective efforts of our dedicated team and the enthusiastic participation of our children and staff. We look forward to future celebrations that continue to inspire, unite, and uplift our community.

The corridors of Beaconhouse buzzed with excitement as the school community came together for International Day. This cherished tradition, observed globally by international schools, showcased the diverse cultures that define Beaconhouse. The day began with a warm welcome from school leaders, highlighting the importance of embracing diversity. Students, representing various nationalities, celebrated their rich cultural heritage, paying tribute to the UAE authorities for fostering an environment of openness and acceptance. Cultural displays adorned the school grounds, offering a glimpse into the traditions and customs of different countries. International culinary delights delighted attendees, while student performances and parent involvement added to the magic of the day. International Day wasn't just an event; it was a celebration of unity and acceptance, reinforcing the idea that diversity strengthens the community.

The success of International Day was a testament to the dedicated efforts of parents, whose involvement and support enriched the celebration. A heartfelt thank you was extended to all contributors, emphasizing the collaborative spirit that makes Beaconhouse truly special. As they look forward to future celebrations, the Beaconhouse community remains committed to fostering unity and understanding through diversity. Happy International Day!

SCHOOL TRIPS

We are delighted to announce the tremendous success of our Term 2 School Trips at Beaconhouse Private School Al Ain. These trips offered not only educational value but also moments of joy, discovery, and recognition for our students. Our youngest learners from FS2 to Year 2 explored Al Ain Zoo, marveling at a diverse array of wildlife and fostering enthusiasm for learning.

Meanwhile, our Year 5 and 6 students enjoyed an exhilarating day at Trampo Extreme, where they tested their agility and courage on thrilling trampolines and obstacle courses. The laughter and camaraderie shared during this outing were truly infectious. For our older students in Year 7 to 11, the highlight of the term was the trip to IMG World Dubai, where they bonded with peers and created cherished memories.

In addition, selected students from Year 2 to Year 8 explored the Al Ain Palace Museum, deepening their understanding of the UAE's history and architecture. We are proud to announce the victory of one of our Year 4 students in an Art competition facilitated by ADEK, showcasing the talent within our community. Lastly, our Year 5 students received recognition in Abu Dhabi for their outstanding sustainability initiatives. These trips underscore our commitment to providing enriching experiences for our students, made possible by the dedication of our staff, parents, and volunteers.

SPORTS DAY

Step into the spotlight and experience the adrenaline-fueled excitement of our recent Sports Day extravaganza! From thrilling races to nail-biting matches, our school grounds transformed into a bustling arena of athleticism. With cheers echoing and banners waving high, students showcased their skills, determination, and unwavering team spirit.

The Annual Sports Day, held on January 15th and 16th, 2024, brought together students and staff for a day of fun, competition, and camaraderie. Organized by the Sports teachers with support from the House Masters and other staff members, the event featured a diverse range of sports and activities tailored to different age groups and skill levels. From track and field events to team sports and novelty games, participants demonstrated their athletic prowess and competitive spirit. The Winner's House Trophy was claimed by Al Hosn House, with Al Haffet as the Runner Up, creating an electric atmosphere of cheers and laughter.
