HAG AL LAILA
The festive occasion for Emiratis falls on the 15th day of Shaban, the eighth month in the Islamic lunar calendar. In the UAE, the event also signals the coming of Ramadan, as children visit the homes of family and friends, wearing traditional clothes and singing national songs.
At Newlands, students came dressed in their UAE traditional attire, sharing sweets with friends and teachers to celebrate Hag al Laila. It was a joyous occasion, full of cultural vibrancy and the spirit of giving.
FIRST LEGO LEAGUE COMPETITION
Celebrating our students’ success at the First Lego League competition in Abu Dhabi!
Huge congratulations to Masterpiece Makers for winning a team poster award, showcasing their creativity. Artistry Assemblers, our second team, claimed the Core Values award for teamwork and spirit. Both teams continue to inspire us with their passion for robotics and discovery!

LAUNCH OF ECO GARDEN
Our newest addition ‘Eco Garden’ was officially launched on January 18, 2024, and the ribbon-cutting ceremony was led by Mr. Rizwan Sheikh, the Regional Director. He had a chance to meet our delightful tortoises and actively participated in planting vegetables in the garden. Our eco warriors were right there, planting alongside and making it a day to remember!

Newlands Sports Days: A Showcase of Sportsmanship, Teamwork, and Emerging Athletes!
Through Sports Days, we not only promote physical activity but also instill important values such as perseverance, collaboration, and fair play. We believe that these experiences on the field contribute to the holistic development of our students, preparing them to face challenges both on and off the field.
INVESTITURE CEREMONY
A day of brilliance showcasing exceptional performances and honouring the vital role of our dedicated student council members. The ceremony not only celebrated their investiture but also emphasised the pivotal role these students play in fostering a positive school environment.
