Headmaster’s blog What an amazing week! The marvellous results of our various sports teams this week has dominated our school news as we have celebrated a great deal of success. Our under 11B Hockey team won the Prep Schools’ Hockey tournament at Stowe School on Monday. The Beachborough Cross Country U11 girls’ team came 4th in the country and the U13 boys’ team 9th in the country at the National Cross-Country championships at Malvern College on Sunday. Our U11A Rugby team came 4th in the country at the Rugby National Finals at Epsom College last weekend. Superb results for our children! In addition to this, we continue to celebrate our Form VIII’s news as they receive excellent offers to the Senior Schools of their choice. This week Toby and Jacob secured Arts scholarships to Stowe School. Well done boys! We have more Academic scholarship news to be announced next week. In other parts of the school, our technologists have been busy in the TED suite, working on moving models that use pneumatics, which also showcase their skills using our 3D printers. Our Form VII children have been learning to use the laser cutters and have completed an electronics course to design and build 1950s retro dragster racing cars! Our ‘Toddlers and Tiddlers’ group this week was busy too, as lots of our youngest learners enjoyed a morning of creative play and investigation. I can’t end my weekly blog without saying that I hope everyone has lots of fun at ‘Splashtastic’ on Saturday! I will be there wearing my armbands, rubber ring and wet suit!
