CAFFIENE AWARENESS

BY:MARSHALL JONES

Even though most of us like caffeine all year long, March is officially Caffeine Awareness month. This is used to help raise awareness about how much caffeine we are consuming and maybe help people cut back. Even though caffeine has its many downsides, there are a few good sources of caffeine.

Some of the downsides of caffeine are restlessness and shakiness, insomnia, headaches, dizziness, fast heart rate, dehydration, anxiety, and since caffeine is a drug, it can also be addictive. Nurse Chelsay says that, “Caffeine can affect your blood pressure, it can negatively affect your heart rate, and it's a stimulant, so it can get you too hyped up. When you're younger, it can be more addictive.”

There are also good sources of caffeine, like certain foods and fruits. Even healthier drinks like green tea are a good source of caffeine. Dark chocolate is also a good source of caffeine. Leaves, seeds, and fruit of more than 60 different plants worldwide have caffeine in them. It’s okay to enjoy your daily dose, just make sure not to go overboard.

What To Read

BY: ABIGAIL MILLER

I recently finished The Love Hypothesis

By Ali Hazelwood,

and it is the perfect book for all of us hopeless romantics out there.

This book follows Olive as she gets into a fake relationship with a Professor at Stanford to persuade her best friend Anh that she is in a happy relationship and well on her way to marriage.

Given this book is a little cheesy, I wouldn’t recommend it if you're not a big fan of cheesy romance, but overall this book was amazing with great characters and funny banter between the main characters Olive and Adam. This book got a 4.2 rating on Goodreads, and I completely agree with that rating seeing as it isn’t a very serious book, although it does have a scene with a little bit of tension on a serious subject at the end of the book and only for a couple of chapters.

In the end, I definitely recommend this book if you’re just getting into reading or want a light, funny romantic read
